Cutthroats call to arms!
« on: February 27, 2005, 01:46:09 am »
We have entered a war with the Sentinels of the Ragnrok...

This is to be a training war it is set to begin in one hour from the time of this post

I encurage all Members of the Cutthroats to attemp to Join the game so we may pose a chalange to this guild Consider this our first job as Cutthroats in this case we have been hired to kill those who have hired us.

A few rules have been layed down fo this training.

We are not to fight in the tavern.
We are not to fight directly at the entrance from the Death Realm however the steps of the plaza are in play.

Once agian this is a Call to Arms for all Cutthroats!

I hate to say it like this but is it needed to make a completely new thread in the guilds forum for this. i mean, you probably have a thread for your guild and i assume ( haven\'t looked ) that you have a forum of your guild itself on the guilds website.

Isn\'t it the best for all to keep this in your own thread or in your own forum, this is poluting the guild forum.

just had to say that :P

Ya sorry.

I don\'t even know if this will reach any of our members our inter guild communication is still being set in place.

Besides I figured this could be a talking point for the other guilds as well.

WOW. a n00b guild in a guild war. Just stop...I mean. You should really just leave before this ends your guild. pick a guild within your league.

That just made you look like a \"n00b\" :)

And I think this thread should not be deleted...maybe moved somewhere, this training war could be an example to others who wish to know how guild wars will work.

I agree.  It would also be nice to start scheduling training bouts.. guild against guild.  The more the better...  We could work out tactics and the like until the use of guild wars is more evident.

and congradulations to Valbrandr and his guild for wining this Training war...

They now have at least 1 Karma point

It did help to show how the system is used and I would like to see more of this before the wipe it will make real Guild wars all the more enjoyable.

well for me it didn\'t work out too well...

I found that my guild needs better lines of communication.

I will advise not going to war with a guild with more than twice your number.  and be on the lookout for frelance workers. (Sarrow)

Anyone can jiun in the fight just by joining one of the guilds.

one thing that could be a drawback for a weaker opponent is that in order to end the war the guild leader must target the rival guild leader to use /guildyield

It appears that this could be exployted by a war starting and one of the guild leaders logging off.

The war would continue after one side disires to conceed. this could lead to a powerful guild who\'s Guildmaster is only online to start wars and never to end them. other than that everything seemed to work as you would expect It would be nice if the opposing guild\'s Guild name would change color maby red to alert you that that person is in a rival guild.

I would expect most all of this to be looked at before Th guild wars are all that important to the game.

I very much agree Ghirtek.  We need to fight more even battles and try to maximize people particapating.  Not to mention.. everything was so unorganized.

We had worked out some basic battle plans and as soon as it began everything was out the window.  Our next battle will be more organized and we will try to implement more tactics.    This was an interesting test run...  but a lot of people would be needed.

During the battle I was trying to get other guilds involved... I think a guild war with 3 or more guilds would be very good... Each guild would have to declare war on one another... it would be a more free for all type of style.  I did enjoy it... and not because we won :).

Sharpens his sword Perhaps a few of us can sit on the sidelines and pick off those who chose to desert the battle?

That war didn\'t really actually give me \"fun\" (you guys ran away when I cast multiple frost attacks)

The guild war option is very nice with its free on free PVP matches. Just get a guild with alot of members with another guild with equal to that amount, and meet in the plaza. great warfare ;(
