For pen i just use a ink pen that i found on the table.
Cause i was lazy to get a good pen. As for scanning, I scanned the picture in pure black and white and not coloured scanning.
As for the broken line, maybe ur line was not connected while you drew the picture? Or is it after u scan then the lines become broken? Well one way to prevent it is try to make sure that your lines are more or less in the same tone of dark. (means not some too light and some too dark.)
For the picture size.......it is bigger then the paper itself when it is scan. I resized it to 45% of the original scan before posting it on the forum.
