If you have the \'Wrong version\' error message then you\'ve came to the right place. Please read through the following steps explaining how to get rid of this error, so that you can play the game!!!

Windows Users
From your Start Menu, click PlaneShift Crystal Blue, then click PlaneShift Updater.

When the updater window appears, click Update.

Mac OS X Users
Open the folder where you installed PlaneShift. Double-click the PlaneShift Updater application (updater).

When the updater window appears, click Update.

UNIX Users
Run the updater command once you have installed PlaneShift.

When the updater window appears, click Update.

If the updater still doesn\'t work then download this.

--------------------

Remember to run the updater periodically, to avoid further errors.

The Linux updater does not update the game binaries, and will not fix this error message. The Macintosh updater didn\'t work last time i tried it, and when I did manage to get it to work, it broke my game.

Ah, yes I see what you mean.

I\'ve had a look around the forums and I\'ve updated it.

The Linux/Unix updater only updates the art. It is good to run it, but it will not update your game version. You need to download a new binary installer or do a cvs update. If this fails you can always go to laanx.fragnetics.com and grab the netprotocol version and tweak your source code so that it thinks it is the new version. This might cause lots of weird stuff, but it has worked semiOK for me before.
I wouldn\'t recomend mac users to use the updater as it has trashed my PS install before.

If you use my installer, yes :)
it\'s updater is a script which fetches updated binaries and then calls the ps updater to get updated art.

Edit: as a note, you don\'t need to specify -auto for the updater, it uses it already ;)

Updating the Mac OS version of PS thru the updater might be only possible using the terminal, depending on your version of the updater.app. See the \"MacOSX Specific Issues\" forums.
