Many of these tests (I don\'t know about this one) have been shown to be highly correlated with mathematical ability, BUT THAT\'S ALL.  You\'re really sort of taking a math aptitude test.  The real problem is that people have accepted MATH = INTELLIGENCE.  When did we decide on this defintion of intelligence?

well i suck ass at math so :/.... plus math is only on the left side of the brain (which interestingly that side of the brain corelates to the RIGHT side of the body.. once agan the right wingers control what is \"smart/normal\" according to thier limeted logic and lack of creative/expansive thinking O.o)

Us creative RIGHT(actualy i am center brained but whatever :P ) brained get shafted on these kinda test...

Exactly. These tests mostly measure one\'s capability for logical and mathematical thought. They don\'t however, measure understanding, wisdom, or knowledge. And those are all just as important as intelligence.

That test isnt very good for those people who dont have good grades in english..

I have good grades in english but there were some words that were pretty strange for me so I quit the test.

I have gotten something like 130~ in Finnish test but my social intelligence is little bit different thing <;G~~

I just remembered that I scored something like 90-96 in PISA test few years ago (Out of 100)... Well.. that is the only international test I have taken.

And if the size of my ego would be measured, it would probably be the second biggest one in the whole world (You all know who easily overwhelms even me in these things)

Um, NewPie, are you aware that there are people in the United States that would find your signature banner extremely offensive?  I\'m not one of them, but I\'d be careful advertising that...

About IQ tests, there are supposed to be ones that measure \"overall intelligence\", but I\'m not sure what that means.  I happen to be one of those people who have a high math aptitude, but I still don\'t buy into the whole \"quantify your whole brain into a single number\" thing.

exactly IQ tests are meant to show your logical thinking ability, relating your how well you can perform overall intellectually ... personally my IQ is just a small integer, I can\'t wait to take the SATs and see how well I do there, thats a test that will determine my future... gotta see what colleges I can get into... and it gonna be all about my SAT score, because my 3.0ish GPA isn\'t that great considering that if i wasn\'t lazy and did work i would have a 4.0ish... buts that me..

also the only reason i ever do good on IQ tests is because my brain thinks faster than MOST people, i can so things many people my age find difficult in a few seconds of thought, so i breeze through them, the test i took was 50 questions in about a 10 minute period
I am just a figment of you imagination and a byproduct of the worse accident ever... ... or so my mommy says!
Imagine your life ripped to hundreds of shreds, then think about how you just stepped in poo, welcome to my world.

The only reason i passes school was my ability to think fast (i an think very rapidly on multiple trains on thought at once :) ) and on my feet.. i blew every subject out of the water... excep my high school grades algebras... they make me grad with like an 80 average :/ (a few 70\'s sure take a ton of 100\'s down a notch XD)

i think math is WAY friggin overated.. if the world was to be hit by a meteor tommorow logic and math wouldn\'t mean jack .. only creativity and the ability to reason out instead of fight/flight would :P

you dont even need algebra.. stupid math (venting a little because i would be eligable for scholarships is it was for f***ing algebra >_< took my average to low to be in the \"percentile of what we as a collage fund are looking for\" ;( )

EDIT: its going to be so gratifying when humanity falls and all those math nerds are like \"oh my a tiger!\" \"what should we do\" Math Nerd: \"well let me calculate the proper way to run awa.... AAAAAH THE PAIN!! FLESH.. RENDING!!! HELLLlllp.... *in tigers belly*\" :D

I have three friends:

The first has an IQ of 87
He is one of the most mechanically gifted people that I have ever met and he is pretty witty.

The second has an IQ of 164
He is arrogant and bothersom, so much in fact that i only see him at parties and don\'t answer my phone when I see him on the caller ID.

The third has an IQ of 182 ! 182  8o
He\'s a pretty nice guy, oppinionated mabey but he will listen to reason and uderstand that arguing a point does not mean making an argument out of everything...ulike 164 guy.

What am I saying? IQ is overrated.

Bah...

I usually score in the 97th percentile or higher when I take I.Q. tests.

However there is allot I just don\'t get.

Most of them fall under social interaction.

Most I.Q. tests challenge things like pattern recognition and spatial relation.
All well and good if you just want to interact with objects like molecules and folding papers.

But once you through in emotions everything goes awry.
Once you think you?ve discovered the pattern it changes.

I would gladly give up a few I.Q. points to better understand social interaction.

I got -23 for IQ... :D

Ah well maybe ill try it later. If there is english in the test than its worthless anyway. And iq tests should indeed be taken with a very large grain of salt. Ive done each online iq test quite poor (about 60). And im an almost graduated university student.. Probably those english language questions are to blame for that!

Oh and my wisdom is infinitely great of course :P

NewPie, I don\'t want to change the subject, but the little face is very similar to a cartoon that was used to depict black people in the United States.  I won\'t go on, but some people see that as another racial stereotype.  I noticed you aren\'t from the U.S., so I didn\'t take it as racist.  If you had been from, say Texas, I would have called you a number of unpleasant names.

Sorry to interrupt the rest of the conversation...

What\'s EI?

Anyway, yeah, as we\'ve all said repeatedly, these IQ\'s are by no means perfect. Sure, I\'m proud of the fact that I\'m intelligent, but actually, a lot of \"intelligent\" people don\'t get through life as well as others who have more understanding and wisdom, so I\'m working on those.
