A) They need to release many more spells to BALANCE out mages vs. fighters. To do this, there must be som spells that do a bit more damage (not necessarily a lot more at first) than weapons because
--it is more expensive to by a glyph then a weapon
--it is more expensive to train
--it takes more progression points to gain one level
--it takes time to cast a spell
Obviously flying spells, teleportations spells, spells that change weather, etc. will not be implemented for a long time, unless I am wrong

B) They should release them NOW. Having them before the wipe will give mages time to gather info and decide which way(s) they want to focus on. It will also allow us to find bugs in the magic system early on so the devs don\'t have to worry about them later.
