Im a little worried cause the wipe is supposed to delete everything right?So I was wondering what would happen if your char name gets used by someone else who just liked it better then thiers?I like my name and i plan to keep it =P

Your right we don\'t own our names; Planeshift (or at this point Atomic Blue) does. However a first come first serve basis does not seem fair to someone who has been playing with a character name for a while when they have a name taken out from under them by someone who simply decided that they liked that name better than the one they came up with on their own.

I think some older people should gain like a right to their names in ps though. I mean, what if you see a moogie walking abound but its not the true moogie.

I think that the creator of the name should keep it, plagarism(however it\'s spelt) be illegal, and i see no difference between this and the real world, apart from the fact that PS is a game and most of the names are generated (Mine is not) is beside the point!

What i\'m saying is, LETS KEEP OUR NAMES!!

I dont see a point in taking names.. i mean, if the name is really good, then maybe. but then people wouldnt know who i as.. so i probably wouldnt.

Obviously, it was made on purpose. The altered spelling like in the Depthblade -- Deftblade example.

Yes, I\'m sure it was made on purpose, just like there are now three people using similar naming profiles to \"Lhoran Enelone\" and they are all on \'accident\'.

i share a similar fear.. i really don\'t think anyone would take my name.. except maybe amheh.. but i think that it will be quite chaotic in the first weeks after the wipe when people say \"remember me, im not easton anymore im (insert name here)\" what if it isn\'t that person?  

and i know im not proposing a solution, im merely chewing the fat.  but i agree with XpYtZ on this one.
