This is a very silly thread, and about two months ago there was another one just like it.
The fact of the matter is, some people like windows, others like linux and still others like OSX. I fall into the latter, I was brought up on macintosh, so it\'s what I like. I am not used to windows nearly as much, so I don\'t like it as much.
Many other people were brought up on windows, are used to it, and thus use it instead of the others...
Nobody is correct and nobody is wrong quite simply it\'s a different operating system and different computer and different people like different things. Period.
I would agree with Kixie that yes Apple needs to branch out and let other people make parts and software for them. I would hate to see apple clones however. Nevertheless, the release of the mac-mini has brought the prices down considerably. Apple does not have a monopoly on the PC market, but it is an internal monopoly...
Also, if you\'re looking for a mac for cheap, look on ebay...
Finally, it does depend often what you are using the computer for...

From what I\'ve noticed, this is how computer users seem to panout now-a-days.
* Using comp to check news and read email - Mac
* Using comp to check news, read emal, and play games - Windows.
* Has good understanding of a computer, but is not a \"profesional\" - Customized Windows (Changed browser, player, privicy settings, system programms, and other files to own preferences.)
* Needs a computer to perform specific tasks (like Buddha) - Mac
* L33T Haxxor (figurativly speaking) - Unix
Unfortunately this is not entirely accurate, just your opinion. Here\'s mine:
Mac: Great for 2D graphics processing (the multistreaming processor). Moderate at 3D, but if you\'re wealthy enough to buy Maya, it\'s excellent for 3D/4D processing. Finally, it is good for mathematics especially those equation-crunching that require multiple streams going at once. Macintosh can also run most games (not all) it is simply that they are released later for the mac (by which time many bugs have been worked out).
Linux: I have never used Linux, who knows? I may like it more than MacOSX... But it seems Linux is excellent for those who like to program software and their own style of OS.
Windows: I have used many windows machines, I simply don\'t like the style, but I have nothing against people that do. It seems to me they are best suited for designing single stream programs (like in engineering) that will only be used once for a specific task. They also have lots of games (because game corporations are going to make their product for a system that holds 90 percent of people). They are also good at 3D processing, but try to run Adobe quick and well on an average PC...hehehe, it\'s like Humpty Dumpty. *BOOM*
So...in conclusion ladies, gentlemen, and Kran, there is no right or wrong in the computer world, people use what they like/are used to or for more advanced computer users, use a system that is tailored to their specific needs.
My thoughts,
