guild chat to the wrong guild

there must be a bug somewere with the guild chate because today i got a message from someone that said he saw one of my guild chatt messages, but we are on different guilds!

isn\'t guild chat supposed to be within the same guild?
it looks like it was just one message, but i coud be wrong.

This has happened to me as well as several of my fellow guild members, talking to a GM the answer was that its called packet loss, sometimes a message somehow ends up going to the wrong place, as you saw,  i also believe that your /guild message that went to the other person then also didnt make it to anyone in your guild or anyone else, just only to that person, not sure why, but the GM said it was packet loss and wasnt a big deal and that they would be able to fix it sometime when they got around to it i believe, so dont worry about it for now , or atleast i dont  but then i cant even select a char without crashing, so packet loss is the least of my probs

We\'ve been looking to solve this problem for some time. For those that don\'t know, packetloss issues cover the following...

Guild and Whisper messages being sent to the wrong people,
NPCs talking to you from across the world for no reason,
Seeing the wrong guild Message of the Day at login,
Battle Victory messages when not in battle.

Other strange behavours may also be attributed to this problem. So far we\'ve been unable to find the cause, but the programmers will keep trying, and they\'ll nail it eventually.
