Comic Crazy Thread :D
« on: March 13, 2005, 01:20:42 pm »
Well basicaly a thread for all comic aficionados :) (i searched the word comic and comic book and only thing near close to this is the planeshift comic project.. so if this is a rethread then your search is broke :P )

I am privy to the entire DC universe  from detective comics to the later Stars And S.T.R.I.P.E escapades

Marvel universe i started with but lost interest in :/ its kinda lost its relevence.. still a speical place in my heart for the Avengers... and Deadpool cuz hes just so damned funny :D

this naturaly will be a varying topic thread so... fire away

i\'ll start by stating the blatent rip-off of \"Static Shock\" from Jakeem Thunder of the JSA and then stating that Jakeen owns the wanna be :) (as stated in my sig)

I like http://www.machall.com and http://www.ctrlaltdel-online.com.

Machall is my favourite because Ian McConville is a brilliant artist, and a Moogle fanatic. :)

Once  Upon A Table is the best... the more that it\'s about p&p roleplaying :P
and Headbanged is good too... just because it\'s about STEEL people :P

Oh though marvel as a whole is very generic i still love the specialy put together Stan Lee/Jack Kirby characters Such as Silver Surfer, Doctor Strange, The Avengers, Thor, Days of future Past saga And Magneto is just so cool :D

But other then that all the other marvel heros and villans kinda meld into each other in a simmetric mess of \"haven\'t i seen this character 50 times just with another name?\"

Plus the DC universe is a lot darker and in my opinion has always had the most on the edge socialy releveant stuff.. I mean true X-Men helped us get past a lotta racism issues but didnt the Green Lantern/Green arrow series do that plus some? I just get the happy \"Well we beat magneto again isn\'t to world all sunny and happy now! :D\" vibe from marvel... and the recent recreates seem kinda just that.. re-inventing the marvel wheel :/ i dont need an \"ultmant\" spiderman or avengers.. just keep making to original the best it can be and stop F***ing up the continueity of your universe XD! I mean between the \"Ultimant\" and \"regular\" forms of every marvel series i have no clue whats the Marvel universe and whats the unlimant stuff any more O.o
