Add another scar to the tally.
« on: March 15, 2005, 07:17:10 am »
Well folks, my face has suffered another stroke of bad fortune. This will bring my list of facial scars to a grand total of five. (Not counting the small ones.) I shall now regale you with the list and how I achieved such a number.

Numer one and largest: A thin up side down seven on my left cheek, stretching from an inch below my eye to almost the corner of my mouth. How? As a child of ten or less, I was dragging on an innertube behind a tree my father was skidding with the tractor. Ya, I know, stupid. The tree twisted and the tip of a branch caught me. Just a small flesh wound, but it remains to this day.

Number two: Not sure where I got it, but it is on the left side of my forehead. About and inch wide.

Number three: Center of forhead, just below the hair line. Looks a lot like the previous one. Begotten out of teen stupidity I\'m afraid. Tried to do a backflip off a rock into the deep part of the river, but over-rotated and landed back where I started. Only feet up.

Number four: Junior High. Lets just say 130 lb me had a little...disagreement with a 300 lb bully named Whillie (insert whale jokes here). I had him beat until I figured he had enough and started to walk away. But, as allways, never turn your back on an enemy. Nose...meet brick wall, and five stitches. No bully ever bothered me again, however.

Number five: Last weekend. I was pounding a tree falling wedge into a huge maple I was cutting down. At the forth tap, the thing flew out of the cut and hit me nearly between the eyes. Not the largest scar I have, but I\'m sure I\'m stuck with it. Didn\'t swell up as much as the time my cousins horse stepped on my face at a dead gallop. Yes, you heard that right. ON...MY...FACE. And that was after I fell off my horse. I had a huge horseshoe shaped lump around my eye for more than a week. Luckly, I don\'t bruse easily. No scars from that either.

Well, thats my story. Now it\'s your turn. Give us your best scars- bruses- near death stories. I know I\'m not alone in this.

Woah, now thats manly :) That is if you are a guy....

#1. When i was like 3 I hit the corner of my coffee table and cut right above my eyelid. I still have a nice little scar right above the corner of my left eye till today. My face isn\'t where my pain storys come from though. My grandmasters of pain are my legs.
#2 On my right knee I have a big scar that will never go away since the cut, well, lets just say some of my meat got torn out :) This happend when I was playing football and I got tackled onto a sprikler in the grass that just poped out a peice of me :)
#3 I have been hit by a car once on foot while crossing the street and another time I was chacing somones car with my bike when the light turned red.. ya I hit it, hard.
#4 Split my head open when i slipped running around a pool
#5 Fell off a brach while climbing a tree and hit another brach on my way down...Aww that hurt a lot...
#6 I was riding my scooter down a hill really really fast (paved hill) when i had this idea to let go of the handels...yah, real smart... I fell on my head (no helmet) and skidded like 20 feet on my right arm until I came to a stop. After that I dragged myself with some help of two or three friends to a nearby friends house. I have like 4 scars on my right arm from that one.
#7 I was carving away at a peice of wood with my new knife when I slipped and sliced my finer open right on the join too. It left a wierd scar on my finger that wont go away...
#8 Played skin. This is where your friend tears away at your had with his nails until you do somthing of choice. Mine was to say a the alphabet with the begining letter of a word. (so like apple, bob, cat...) It seems easy till you lose your first layer of skin and you have somone ripping off the second as you go...
#9 I went mountain biking and, well, fell. And rolled. And it hurt and I bled... Not fun on a steep hill full of bushes...
#10 Ever dislocated your ankle?
#11 oh ya how could i forget. Another scooter related one. I was going down a street that was really steep. (i live in the mountains its always uphill or downhill around here) I hit a rock that was laying there which trough me sideways into the wheel of a parked car. I dont think I got any scars from thisone though. I think it looked pretty bad though because two cars nearby stopped and people came running to help me.. But,hey, I got balls :)
#12 I fell down a full fight of about 40 stairs at my old church when I was little.
#13 Fell off of my friends 2 story roof. I landed flat on my back so ther ewasn\'t much bleeding, just a horrable amount of pain....
That about sums up the big guys. Ill add more if i remember anymore...

man and i thought i was accident prone, Efflixi Aduro you have to be the most unlucky guy/gal(that is if you are) here.

lemme see ive got 2 on the back of my head thanks to gravity and thoese dammed cookies on that top shelf :P

1 on my chin when i decided that a chair was more fun when you balanced it on 2 legs (knocked my self out for a second)

2 3\" scars one on each leg when glass doors just dont open to speeding kids

one on my right arm when my sister assulted me with a frying pan when she decided that vengence was thicker than blood ( i got even by knocking out one of her teeth but thats so long ago)

then there was that time a 40 degree slop, bike add in a car that poped out of no where and we get me lying in the gutter with a bike ontop of me got me another one on my arm

i had 2 rods inserted into my right hand after a fall of some stairs but i dont think that counts.

God must hate you people...

My incidents (I don\'t scar easily):

1. I was around 4, and was fooling arond over at my grandpas farm (dacha) in Ukraine. In front of his gate he had gravel and sharp rocks... So, I was running around being a typical 4 year old idiot, when I triped and fell. Right now I have a scar about two inches bellow my right nipple (I\'m a guy... So don\'t get a chuby please :) ) which straches out another two or three inches. Unless I point it out to you, you probably won\'t notice, it\'s just a abnormaly white slight bump with small strechmarks (where the rock went in), and it has a thin line going down that eventualy fades out (where the rock performed \"surgery\" :) ).

2. I was running when I was probably 7, but there was a chainlink fence in my way. So, I decided to find out who\'s tougher. In one swift motion, I kick open the gate, and keep running. Unfornunatly the gate was on a spring, and it flew back at me before I ran through. I had a scar going from about an inch over my eye, into my hairline. But it went away.

3. When I was 6-8 (dont exactly remember), I learned the hard way that skydaving is not an indoor activity. I jumped on the bead, triped, and face first hit the knob of a cabinet. Almost lost an eye. But signs are no longer visible.

4-end. Other then that I have a long list of scars and permenent bruises. I don\'t know how I still have my knees intact, but it\'s a miracle that they are. I have a scar on the nuckle of my middle finger from when I was acting tough and punched a tree (the tree won). I have a mark on my pinkey from when I wanted to find out if sawdering irons are as hot as people say they are, and now I know to believe people more.

I think that\'s just about it... The rest are\'nt worth mentioning.

Ok... only three worth mentioning, well one worth mentioning, and two for fillers.

First off, I\'ve got one somewhere on the top of my head, where my skull cracked when my cousin\'s motorbike fell on me when I was about 8. It wasn\'t moving, I was just stand with a plain bike next to it, and must have bumped it or something. It just fell onto me, and I must have hit my head on the pavement. Had to have it glued, yes glued, back together. And if I didn\'t hold my head up, blood would trickle down into my eyes.

Second, gashed my knee falling of a bike. A nice little scar, but almost invisible now. About two inches wide, I think. Now that I think of it, I burned that knee real bad, too.

Thirdly, and most impressively, I\'ve got a ten-inch scar on my stomach from when I was 5 and got my backpack hit by a car. Yeah, my backpack. The car zoomed by and snagged my backpack, and threw me into another car so hard that it ripped the backpack off the straps, which remained on my shoulders. That was nasty. Lots of internal bleeding, broken ribs, broken pelvis, doctors didn\'t think I\'d survive, etc. etc.

I was in a hospital.  There was a loveseat.  It had wooden armrests.  \'Thought it was a sofa.
Dropped my head back,
...and thwack!

Fortunately, I was in a hospital.  On a side note, NEVER get staples.

Well I only have one scar thankfully because I find them neither amusing or manly ^^.

I was playing hockey on an outside rink and I got bodychecked from behind into the side boards an in the particular one in question there was a massive peice of sharp steel. It dug into my right under arm above my elbow almost going straight through, thankfully its out of plain sight ^^

I guess depth cant resist staying away ;)

I think the one that Phinehas said about the cars is the worst so far though. I might have a long list but no broken ribs :P So, are you scared to cross the street or anything? Cuz (after being hit by a car twice) Im pretty paranoid about crossing the street. I prettymuch jog across.

Edit: uh ya im a guy...

Y\'know the ten-inch scar I mentioned? Staples. Ow.

And no Efflixi. I was scared for a couple years, but now I love running out on zebra crossings and making cars screech to a stop. :D It was 14 years ago, and all I\'ve got to show for it is a huge scar and a slightly crooked pelvis, so I got over it.

Ya I I found out what that thing is O.o

Well I used to have ecsima when i was little. Ecsima is where yourbody makes itsself really itchy all over and alllo you can do is itch it. It went away when i was like 12 but now I have a huge scab near my ankle that wont go away. I finally decided to go to the docter for this after a month and it still wouldn\'t go away...
It turns out this is like the second phase of ecsima where all the itching isolates its self near your hands or legs. Mine where the legs. So, my lower legs became so unbearably itchy that I tore my skin off myself by itching it. Then it got infected...
Im taking 2 pills every 6 hours now for it. One calms the itching down and another is killing the infection. Thats all my doctor could do for it but on thursday I gotta go to a dermatologist to get it looked at. I hope i dont need any surgury or anything :(
I didn\'t post this since it\'s more of a medical condition but since exuro brought it up theres #14 :)

And yes robinmagus I am screwd up... Surprisingly I have never broken a bone  8o
But I get way too much calcium it takes like twice the force to break me :)
My fingernails are super hard from all the calcium im getting too...
I need help cutting my right hads nails because my left had can\'t squeeze the clipper hard enough.
Lol Internet

1.) dropped a hot iron on the back of my leg when i was 3, huge scar cover 75% of the back of my leg...

ehh thats it,other that just a bunch of little ones all over my arms and legs... from my days of running around outside, playing in trees, jumping off them, swimming in rivers... you know back when i actually went outside...
I am just a figment of you imagination and a byproduct of the worse accident ever... ... or so my mommy says!
Imagine your life ripped to hundreds of shreds, then think about how you just stepped in poo, welcome to my world.
