New to Planeshift

hello, i\'m right now DLing the game and am ready to give it a good test run.

Just wondering which is a good server to play on that is newbie friendly? - if the servers work that way, that is.

and any other helpful tips would be appreciated as well.

there is only one server running and most of us are newb friendly as long as your not running around shouting \" someone give me free money or a free weapon...come on im new here\"

heh, thought that intro music sounded familiar. I remember downloading this game ages ago but my old pc just wasnt up to the job of handling this game. Cheers to aranis for dropping the link to this over at DnL :p

LOL. well, that was possibly the most painful 30 mins of my life. Controls in this game are pure muck. Thank christ I didn\'t pay for this. Devs seriously need to take a look at some fundamental aspects of this game, but, five years in development and they can\'t get something like that sorted....I don\'t hold out much hope for this game.

Heya, I\'m almost a new player! (Actualy am still downloading the client while I surf the forums). From what I\'ve seen, the game looks pretty cool. I\'ve played stuff like EQ and SWG, but my school sched is keeping me pretty dang busy, so it wasnt worth paying for an account I hardly get on.

You can always add Carisse to your buddy list and talk to me if I\'m in-game.  You could also join my guild (or, admittedly, other guilds) and use GuildChat when you need help.

Uhh? I\'ve tried multiple times to download the client, but BitTorrent wants to take 3 days, and when downloading it directly the server keeps resetting about half way through. I dont think the problem is on my side, I\'m on a LAN at my house, connecting to DSL, and nothing else is reporting connection problems. Any ideas?

Interface in Planeshift indeed made me furious not once, but I have defined
myself keys for chat window focus, turned off some of them, redefined
colours and it is more comfortable now. And Planeshift developers seems
to work on the game interface usability too, since comparing to MB
interface looks alot better. And about downloading the game, there are a
few unofficial mirrors made by Planeshift players, including my own:
http://platyna.xpam.de/planeshift/ you have to run updater after installing
one of these.
