problem with 3.008 update (Linux)

Hi,

I had been playing quite a bit for the past days. But starting on 24 March, I got tons of linkdead.
It could be the net connection. But just on 25th, after updating, the server responded that I didn\'t have the right version.

My version is 3.008 (got it from the prebuilt binary 3.007 after updating). I am running Linux (Debian unstable/testing). And the updater complains that the server updater is newer. But I cannot get it (other than that, it checks ok for everything, and downloaded quite some xml and music).

I tried with --auto, and looked into updatertemp, but there is nothing there...

Any idea?

Server was down earlier today --- looks like it\'s back up, but I just started getting a \"wrong version\" error when trying to connect.

Sorry i have no idea, but im running widows Xp..(*ducks for cover*). And it says i have to update for im running the incorrect version for the server. I try updating and the following appears in the msprompt screen:

ERROR csintializer::setup configmanerger failed.
is your CRYSTAL enviroment variable set?
Exiting planshift press enter

Any ideas, this happens when using the updater icon or entering \"C:\\Program Files\\PlaneShift Crystal Blue\\updater.exe\" --auto\" in the \"Run\"

I have the same, Linux. While trying to compile CVS source I am getting
like two weeks old parse errors.

Ditto, I\'m seeing a bunch of CrystalSpace bugs in the current crop of CVS.

Anyways, for more info on the server and whats been happening to it lately ( as well as live player-lists ), see

There looks like there was a big update in the last 24 hrs, so a bit of client breakage is probably expected until updated versions are available to download or compile.

I\'ve solved it by upgrading CS/CEL and a new Jamrules file. I\'ve compiled
a binary that is available here: http://platyna.xpam.de/planeshift/ - if anyone,
who has problem with updating binaries, would like to test it, if you have
used the installer you need to rename it to planeshift-bin and replace your
current planeshift-bin, before doing so run the updater.

It might be my linux-noobnes but i have replaced my psclient-bin with the one you provided (as i ran the updater with the known output: \"Your updater version is older than the server\'s..\" ) and on launching it gave me a \"Segmentation fault\" error.
Running Mandrake 10.1 comm.

Segmentation fault in cal3d? Then you have to manually update cal3d to the newest version. :(

Do you mean CVS? ..because latest release (0.10.0) is not doing it for me

I played a couple of days ago, it worked fine. Yesterday, when trying to connect to Laanx, i got the message that my client isnt using the same version as the server.

I tought this was going to be fixed in a cuple of hours, but now i still get the same problem. I\'ve ran the updater several times, but it says that my files are up-to-date. Im using 0.3.008 and it worked fine yesterday.

Will the updater fix this problem in a couple of days? Cause then i know you guys are on to it.

I am using Ubuntu Linux.
