Auto-WALK

Now that we have stamina it\'d be nice to auto-walk without draining your stamina first...

thats actually auto-run and too my knowledge it only alllows for running (also notice a little glitch with it that you cant turn it off when \"i believe\" your exhasted)
As I stand here looking into the heavens, I begin to see forms familiar to me. All whom I have killed have come to mock me. I turn away, only to see the abyss, enticing me towards it. There is no turning back now, only one way to go. So I head into the abyss, the nothingness, the future unseen.

if you hold shift and then press / it makes you auto walk. At least it makes me auto walk.

Hmm, why doesn\'t \"default run / walk\"

1) stick over /quitting and
2) affect autorun

I need to try cossaks suggestion.

sorry please forgive me i think what i suggested worked in the lats update. What you got to do is while walking press / instead of pressing it from a standing start. Sorry.

Holding shift works, but then it\'s not really \'auto\' is it? :D

What about a lock-command on the current movement? That would make different commands for auto-walking and auto-running redundant.
When you run at the moment and use the lock, you auto-run, when you walk at the moment and use the lock, you walk. Probably the lock could adapt on changing the mode. I imagine it as following: you activated the lock and are running. Then you type the key to walk, which changes to the autowalk. With that a
command for \"hold position\" could be possible, too. When you hold the hold position-button, you dont move when you click somewhere. With lock activated, you hold position without holding the key. You change the moving-mode just by typing one time the key for the wished mode.

Editation: press = so it says running by default then \\ and it works.

Editaion2: hmm... got Aucices to give it a go for me but no luck, maybe im just special. and now for me it seems to be random  :/

That doesnt work for me neither. I asked around a bit and it seems that = plus \\ should not work together. So you are experiencing a bug, I think.
Sometimes I can constantly walk by typing the forward-key and simultaneously typing something in the chatwindow.

What do you think about my hold-position-idea?

I use auto-walk all the time, by holding walk forward down and then activating auto-run, but I haven\'t tried the other method.
In my opinion auto-run should behave according to whether you set \'running by default\' or not.

I think there should be a button to toggle run/walk.  Then / would be atuo walk/run depending on if you\'re walking or run.  Aslo if you\'re not using auto you don\'t have to hold shift to run.

Death with just a thought.

The button already exists forgoodorevil. It\'s normally bound to the = key.

Yes, but as I stated above, this key is not intented to work together with auto-run.
