Best pay to play MMORPG?

pay to play? well honestly I havent played a huge number of new ones, but I think that EQII or FFIX definally win from looks and previews alone.

Well, witht he new WoW patch i cant even launch the client.. it crashes..  and no one knows why.. I even reformatted my computer..   so I guess ill have to move onto greener pastures.

I think ill steer clear of Everquest, although it was an outstanding game for its time


I was looking at FFXI, but i dont know much about it.. my friend quit at level 25, he said it was boring..  but i dont place much value in his input.

Has anyone played FFXI?  can anyone tell me about it.. Im considering buying it.. Ive read a ton of reviews.. all look pretty good..   But asome complain about international servers having japanese players.. and dificulty of finding a group.   and some say there is alot of \"botting\" in the community..

And what about Star wars galaxies ?, they have a new expansion

I heard star wars galaxies was really dissapointing. Considering the fact everyone is selling their galaxies accounts, I wouldn\'t put it at the top of my list.

I tried the Everquest 2 trial and it looks alright.

Iv gotta say dark and light. I think the main sites down but when you can take a look at it. It has almost everything ps plans to have. But it wont be out until the end of this year.

I see. I also have a free account (1year) on Anarchy Online. The game is a lil boring though. Did any of you got a free account on AO?

nop not me.
If you wanna consider guildwars p2p itll be up there on the list too though.  You only have to buy the game once though you never pay monthly.

But heres whats cool about guildwars, over 150 skills  8o  And you are able to learn all of them. Well theres a whole bunch of other stuff but I reccomend learning about it yourself. Im probably gonna go pre order it today
Oh and the game emphisizes on grouping up. Hence the guilds....
And the guild WARS are ausome. You can have 8v8 matches and once you are a big and well known guild you can have 40 (forty somthing) vs 40 matches

Yeh i got one, really boring and have no idea how to start off...and if you ask an NPC its all pre loaded questions that answers you with a 1000 word answer.

I have heard its really good but only if your into heaps of combat and the whole Matrix consept.

I would rate it around a 8.5 out of 10 (from all the reviews and other stuff iv seen )

I think i\'ll never would pay monthly to play an online-game,  coz that concept is totaly abstract to me, so see in cases like WoW or FFXI you frist buy the game (50?) and u still need to pay a monthly tax (12 ?) to be able to play it (FFXI is even more stupid once each new player u wanna creat u need pay more 1? and there\'s also a card game on the game that to u play it need to pay more 1?).
In other cases like Lineage 2 you download the game and you have two options, play it on private servers (totally free but not with the same good things that the publics have) or pay a monthly tax of 12 ? and play it on the public.
You still have Guild Wars wich i\'m seriously thinking in buy when it\'s gonna be released once you juts pay the game and the new expansions that are released every 6 months.

And of course, u have Planeshift comments arent needed

I don\'t play any Pay to play games anymore. I have been told WoW is easily the best though.
