I personally don\'t mind powerplay - it\'s one of the fundamental human needs. Just as long as you respect your fellow RPers! :)

A little tip:
If you want to powerplay play Diablo.

It\'s the best powerplaying game ever made.

PS is a place for RPers and the game is not far enough to rmjoy PPing anyways.

Roleplaying is fine, because in that section there aint to many  limits.

btw noone will stop you if you will stick to WoW, I dont think anyone will cry for you.

By the way we gon quite a bit off subject. I reckon having a test would be a good idea, but most people wouldn\'t stick to it. I reckon elves look stupid but their attributes are kinda cool. you would have to decide what kind of people match wat kind of race. It would hav to be separate from the game but i dont think the gms would agree with this idea.

Test would be a good idea, it would get pretty sloppy. No one would follow it.

On an aside, please read the section of the FAQ pertaining to the boards before posting.  1337-speak and other AIMisms aren\'t valued highly around here, nor are triple-posts (i.e. spam).  If you need to post something in addendum to your original thought, please use the edit button found above your post.

It\'s nothing personal, but a great deal of players and even the coders do not speak English as their first language and as a result might have a bit of trouble understanding your gross overuse of English Internet slang terms.  Please try to use correct spelling and grammar to make yourself understood by other forum-goers and improve your social standing with everyone.

/off-topic

Yes, a test would be nice, but not at all necessary.  Just use your best judgment when selecting a race.  It would probably be a good idea to select one with which you would feel comfortable role-playing.  Even then, the general demeanor of an entire race does not have to reflect the personality of an individual, it merely helps shape it.

Read the race descriptions before selecting your character and keep in mind that this isn\'t set in stone -- your character\'s items, stats, and completed quests will be wiped at some point as stated in this sticky.  This game is not a full-fledged release, merely a Beta test of an Alpha version!! (Think of Crystal Blue as test release Version 0.1.2, with 1.0.0 being an official public release.)

3) If fighter, Do you want to be fast and able to dodge more attacks, hit harder, or last longer.  Then choose who has the most agility, strength, and endurance.  Then choose one with the majority of the stats in the fighting skills.

4) If both, choose a character who is evenly spread, or leans a little to one side if you want.

What? Just \"fighter or mage\"? What about every other profession in PS? This game is not a hack and slash. This game is NOT centered around killing stuff. People need to get this narrow view out of their minds already.

As for a test, there\'s loads of personality test things on the Internet, if you\'re unsure what kind of character you wish to play. Take some of those, and based on what you discover, pick a race that suits it. My character Moogie, for example, is graceful, quiet and kind... but with a somewhat primal/animalistic side to her. Thus I chose an Enkidukai to best portray this. Her \"killing stuff\" abilities are pretty much nil. She\'s a cook, a healer, and an animal whisperer (tamer).

As Moogie said, its not all hack and slash. You can very well do anything that discludes fighting or brings it down to a very minimum. Mining for example is proably my favorite thing to do in any game. Especially in an RPing game like PS. Finishing my point, I do believe there is a male and female side elemental but you dont have to use elves to have what choice you want. I dont know why your so focused on using them.
Of course you should fight fire with fire, you should fight everything with fire.   :P  Xantherus Icer  :P

Actually what I was trying to communicate, with the crude and imprecise language that is the best I can manage, is that Elemental Guardian simply is too good for PS.
The community of PS, especially me, simply isn\'t able to appreciate or rather, adapt to and comprehend, his elaborate ways to speak, exquisite use of grammar and pristine spelling that shine upon us out of each of his posts

that he doesn\'t get tired to benefit us with makes it obvious, even to my pathetic mind, that his presence is pearls to the swine that are us! We are nowhere near worthy of his grace, and there is no way this humble game that is PS can ever be up to your superiour and splendid presence!

Therefore I humbly and with great sadness feel that you shouldn\'t waste your valuable time on PS, it is much better spent in places that will not muddy your great mind by forcing it to perform in ultrior ways! If I had only a fraction of the qualities you, Elemental Guardian, possess so richly, I would not put up with PS but move back to the place of light where you came from, WoW, and stay there!

In light of all this, there obviously is no way any test can match the precision and detail that would be required to even come close to manifesting and transposing your essence within and into the tight constraints of what is available on PS.

Most humbly,
Seytra

Well personally I have no problem with on fighting oriented characters as long as the Role Playing part wont be forgotten. (Something I am sure you wont provide)

If I may ask your highness to lower your extended use of grammar to an level on which even creatures as low as we can understand, I would be glad.

In that  manner I can just stick to Setyra. Wasting such talent on a game like Planeshift is unbearable for us, each second you walk among us tears our hearts apart.

That is exactly what we are saying, we all are plain idiots\'/jerks, how you said in your wonderful lagnuage, fo perfect grammatics and vocabulary. We all are idiots and jerks, and you dont deserve that, you would be better by going to  World of Warcraft were such talent as yours is worshipped.
