700 years?

I just noticed that in the April fools \'news update\' that we have been exposed to the crystal for 700 years. Doth my eyes deceive me? Have they finally given us a timescale to work with? Or is this an even crueler joke?

Really now, what is an \'Epoch\' anyways. Yes, I know what it means. Just the same as Mercury and Jupiter are both planets. The term is waaaaay too vague.

As to information regarding a tangible timescale, I\'d ask the devs themselves if no info is disclosed by reading the setting. However, should they choose not to divulge anything, there\'s not much to do other than believe in the April\'s fool information, or not, is there?

Sorry about the very mild flame, Mondo, you hit a bit of a nerve. You see, as a writer, I like to know everything about my subject. Otherwise it delays and iritates me to no end. I have to start making up things that may not jive with what may be considered the \'truth\'. I hate that. Thats why I ask so many questions on the setting, history, and races. (with very few answers, saddly)

Also, I have yet to be able to enter the game. My PC being busted for several months, (since MB) till I finally narrowed the problem down to a faulty motherboard. (sound card still doesn\'t agree with my new one.) Then an entire week downloading the game, and add another night to update, then fix the updater, due to the worst rural dialup conection known to man, with no hopes of broadband. Besides satilite :rolleyes: 800$ settup, 70$ a month...no thanks. Then the Email issue comes into play. One day, still waiting. I think I may be one of those poor souls cursed with lost Emails.

That, my friend, is why you upset me. And for that I am sorry. I do try my best to find this info on my own, but sometimes it is impossible.

(I say \'mild flame\' because I type slow, giving me time to reconsider some of the harsher things I would have wrote.)
