to what Lyrah is saying. Then I thought, hold on, forum member? He/she\'s new to like three days ago...what the hell? Looked at the forums and woah, like twenty resurrected old threads with comments by Lyrah. There were some thought out suggestions in them, but a lot of it had already been said many times. There is no need to post on a topic that has been covered. If you think a thread is particularly good, use the rate thread thing at the bottom. Don\'t resurrect it, just gives the devs/mods/gm\'s more work.

Lyrah; 71 posts in a few days is quite amazing, seems you don\'t like the single or double star with the word newbie. Not sure what to make of this. Either you are concerned (in a good way) with the game and very outspoken or you are a noob. I think the former is probably true, but I think some others find you the opposite. A suggestion; don\'t try to act like someone with a lot of experience when you haven\'t been around that long. Planeshift is filled with many experienced people (myself not included); molecular bluers and even atomic bluers who have been around since forever basically. Be humble, slowly earn the respect of others.

Now, I am not saying you\'re ideal forum/ps world is wrong, yes, they\'re well noted and everyone is entitled to their opinion (postmodern idealism and all that) but ideally... communism should work (and if anyone begins argueing about communism I will scream... just an analogy people). Simply put, Planeshift is what it is, like it or leave it and if you want people to respect you, please only comment with productive suggestions... i.e. new well thought out ideas.

Right, sorry Lyrah. This is the last I\'ll say in this rediculous thread and hopefully one of the Planeshift goddesses will cast a rain of padlocks upon this sillyness. I think now I will take Kaseijin\'s suggestion and not post in annoying threads from now on.

Lyrah, man, come on you can do it! Do a topic like this in each section of these forums!
Dude, it\'s even worse what\'s happening here! Why don\'t you call the FBI? Or, you can also involve the CIA ...

My god, the horrors that are happening in here ...

PS - You have my answer in your other similar thread kiddo ;)

Now, if you mean STUPID people, thats a different stroy.  :D

Edit: And most of the older people here have been (in some cases still are) stupid too. Heck, I was probably the biggest dumbass this forum has ever seen back in July.

well you said it right there FESFES ^^ As for your request Lyrah, keep dreaming it will never happen ok? Even if you could get a few people to be nice not everyone will be because lets face it not everyone on here is nice. Also if a new person needs to be taught the right way of doing things we find our current ways perfectly fine look how Efflixi turned out a fine gentlemen still alittle crazy but better then his past alias FESFES.

In short, being nicer does nothing better for the development of Planeshift. Therefore I award it the honor of being completely irrelevant. If you think people are mean to you, ignore them. If you think the devs are doing something wrong with the game, leave your imput in a correct fasion and if you don\'t like the way they handle it, leave. You don\'t have to be here, therefore I find your arguments completely absurd.

to the point Kixie i like it.
further more when getting across your POINT you DONT need to use CAPS to SHOW KEY WORDS :|
that is what bold and italic are implemented for.
now please, we\'ve all heard your \'i\'ve tested many other games\' story, that doesnt get you a paper hat, when you start in a game where you know no one you satrt fresh, wether you were the strongest smartest warrior in some other damned game or just an ordinary cult member it doesn\'t count, you have to build yourself from scratch, its called life, live it

happy birthday :|

I read the entire user guide and several threads before I downloaded the game, and played the game for several weeks before joining the forums.  I always attempt my best grammar and spelling.  I respected the oldbies.  I expect others to have the same courtesy, and if they don\'t why do they deserve better than to be told to sit on their ass and do three minutes of browsing the forums?  Or three minutes of reading the guide?  Why are they entitled to not move their fingers a few minutes more or *gasp!* strain their holy eyes reading a few pages of information?  Why are they entitled to be ignorant of basic courtesies afforded on an internet forum?  Finally, why are they entitled to have us do their work for them, and why do they expect us to?  Care to explain to me why our current n00bs have these entitlements when I didn\'t?

B.This is stupid.

Clarifications:
n00b==Common new idiot, not because he\'s new but because he\'s an idiot who just happens to be new.
Newbie==New guy, we don\'t know much about him, but you know what?  He\'s OK!

The key to manipulative bargaining is to ask for something twice as big as what you want, then smile and nod when you are talked down to your original wish. You are still young, my apprentice, and have much to learn in the ways of the force. -UtM

As to the manual, read it, twice, many parts of it are outdated...or parts of it are bugged...meaning that the feature mentioned is bugged. So reading the manual gave information that didn\'t work.

(my opinion is if the manual is out of date, while not game breaking, it will discourage people from reading it, word will get out eventually that the manual is worthless, even if the manual was at one point perfect.)

I would have read players guides, but the rules against those are *harsh*.

(and I can\'t do coding and my forum does not show the icons to click for bold or italics.)

And I tend to get to a beta and set to work, testing, reporting, and giving opinion. Seems *this* one, those are not welcome. I will remember this and not report. When I get tired of either bugs or lack of content...I will leave, and not be missed.

Please, grow up Lyrah. It\'s my job to read every new post that pops up. It\'s my job to close old threads that people resurrect and add absolutely nothing useful to, like you did. I didn\'t use any insults to you when I closed that compass thread of yours, but I am entitled to show my utter frustration at yet another duplicate topic when there are TWO OTHERS on the same/next page of the forum!

You are free and encouraged to give your opinion wherever you want to. But as a rule of thumb here, we do not want:

* Duplicate threads adding nothing new to a heavily discussed topic,
* Resurrected threads again adding absolutely nothing useful to the topic,
* Threads to whine and complain in public about matters you should take up in a mature manner through private chat if it bothers you as much as it apparently does.

Now, the Search button WORKS. Use the \"Keyword\" search always. And the more words you use, the better. No wonder you think it\'s broken... how do you expect it to mindread you when you simply type \"spells\"? It\'s going to pull up every spell wishlist, every spell bug report, every spell discussion, screenshot, every single vague mention of the word \"spells\". Something\'s broken here, but it\'s not the search feature- it\'s your logic.

As a final note:
bold
italic
underline

Didnt even read the thread. Not everyone is mean. Do not direct it on older players. There are newer players that are mean too..and older ones yes.

And efflixi is right. when someone doesnt read anything and comes in askin for money, it kinda ticks you off.
