I would love to see the pub a tad larger, seemed too small to shove a few Kran into. I would like to see a best of the best Karioki night at the pub. Or a weekend buffet, or Sunday brunch.
When I went exploring I did poke my nose in, but there wasn\'t even a barkeep, there was that cook guy, but he didn\'t even have a watered down Ale or wine.
Oh well,
many more players will come over time, RP isn\'t dead as long as this game has a pulse...which I believe it does.
I find that all games/tests have a cycle they tend to follow, the world gets busy during the spring and summer, and people actually go outside a bit, kids go to college or come home from college, and people go on vacations, and there is either a lull or glut around Christmas (really depends upon the game). Either way, over my almost 6 years in EQ, and other games...I never really lost friends for good, they went away, and came back. I was more than ready to welcome them back.
I am sure once the finals are all done (high school and college), and the graduations are over that many people will return. Have faith.

I so agree with you, the pub is a good place to RP, but
far from the only place. It is possible to RP on the road exploring with a friend, at the Blacksmith, on the way to train a skill, on the way to mine. That is one reason I suggested all the game improvements that I did, they would pull those on the fense about RP
into the RP side of the game, and it wouldn\'t hurt those that could RP if their characters were stick figures wearing paper sacks, sitting in a cardboard box.
I try to RP in say and shout...if I can, and keep the OOC in tells...if I can. That way the only person getting the illusion of immersion/fantasy is the person that asked the question (which when you don\'t know how to move or do basic stuff, the illusion isn\'t there for you yet anyway).
I agree, if you are looking for RP friends and the pub is empty, announce the arrival of a new barkeep with
rare and exotic libations (drinks) and culinary skills as well. And then race to the pub and watch people come. Some might not realize that the food and drink are imaginary...but they can learn (like kids teaching each other how to eat \"ice cream\" when they couldn\'t get one that day. I could taste it...how about you?)
Advertising works IN game...just like out of game, and it can be done in a role play fashion. What would you say if you just opened up a new pub in a bustling town...to pull in the obviously thirsty people (well they are gathered around a fountain aren\'t they??)

Meh perhaps they are tired of RPing within the tavern, although it does bring many things to RP since it is such a well put together building with the pub area, bedrooms, cooking area, rooftop etc...
Some people would sit all day in a tavern as RP because perhaps that is their characters safe zone a place they feel most comfortable at...there is no limit to where you can RP considering this world was built for just that
No one also has the right to tell you what RP is and isn\'t because it varies to each persons imagination.
If you want some more attention within the pub announce things aloud recruit people to join you there for whatever you wish to do, stage events.
