wind spell sticks??
« on: April 09, 2005, 03:47:13 am »
I am not sure if it is just my crappy computer or not (probably is).  If it is, can you tell my why this happens?

I can cast the wind spell on myself or whatever it is called.  I see the cool graphics.  Then when \"the wind stops blowing\" the graphics of the wind are still swirling my character.  It doesn\'t even go away when i load onto another map.  When I asked other people if they saw it around me, they said \"no\", which is why i think it may be my computer.  Is this a bug or my computer?

P.S.  I am not very computer-knowlegable, so don\'t bother asking me for the stats, i have no clue what most things mean.  All I know is that is is not a very good one.

Which one are you?

This particular effect should die off after 30 seconds, according to my files. Have you run the updater recently?

All of the spell files have been fixed, but they may not be in the updater yet. To check, go to your PS folder, and go in data/effects/spells. Open windgusts.xml in notepad and see if the file contains \"none\" anywhere inside. If it doesn\'t, your spell files are old, so check Updater. If they\'re not available through the updater yet, I\'m afraid you\'ll just have to wait untill they are.

However, if it does contain instances of \"none\", please do tell me, because then it means something else is going wrong. :)

It is fixed in the CVS, so you have to wait for a next client relase I think.
