Thnx for the comments and motivation even :). And Arcane I will model more things and try to texture them so that it will be more clear if i\'m a good enough artist or not ;). I\'ll post whatever i\'m able to come up with here but I probably won\'t be able to post something for a couple of days and if I feel up to it i\'ll even texture it.

Cheers,

Eh, a quick tip I forgot.  Make sure to use plenty of reference pictures (just google for \'em) and post those up too.  It helps a lot and it\'s something the devs like to see.

Yeah, Arcane is sayin good. Modle some more things and try to texture them and then show in fanart, by the comments of fans u decide how good u r going.

If you have skills and love for PS you\'ll automatically join some day  :)

Well I did a furnace quick. It\'s going to go in my little blacksmith house i\'ve decided to do. This was done mainly to see if I could use particles since i\'ve never used them before and also an attempt at texturing the model itself was simple. The lighting is horrible because I just threw in a spotlight instead of my normal skylights but it\'ll do.

This may be a bit harsh for a quick model but...

Try to make the model more interesting.  It\'s a bit on the blocky side at the moment.  Add some details.

The texture obviously repeats.  That is bad.  What program are you using?

Are those rendered in walktest?  If not, those particles are pretty much useless.  Check out the effects section on the contributing sticky (section 5 or 6 I think).  That gives a link to the eedit documentation which explains particles pretty well.  Also, you\'ll need to check out the cs exporter documentation to see how you can export particles from max to a world file.

I\'m using 3ds max 7 and Adobe Photoshop CS for texturing. I\'m still learning how to texture so that repeat will hopefully be gone the next time I show you this furnace.

Cool... I use 3dsmax7 with photoshop7 at the moment (I am the main animator for my school\'s robotics team)... I was wondering how you did the fire with particles in your furnace file??
and also, would we be able to exchange some un-textured models? I need to brush up on my texturing skills :)

Easy I just used a customised Spray, so that it never went through the furnace and so that it had plenty of big particles, and just textured it with a fire  looking material made in max :)
