Ale Review
« on: April 11, 2005, 01:48:05 pm »
Issue # 3 of The PlaneShift Times will have an Ale & Food Review so I need some names of the ordinary/rare and exotic drinks and culinary delights that can be purchased at Kada EL\'s Tavern. Saw a good one in the Forum and I\'ve already named one in issue # 2 so I\'ll start it off:

FOOD
Rat Stew

DRINK
Fermented Trepor Bile
Karosh Strongest

So instead of asking the actual tavern staff you ask here?
Ok.

Tavern staff? Sorry but everytime I have gone by there, through there or near there...no one is in there. So he would have a hard time asking the staff when they aren\'t present to be asked.

I spend a lot of the time in the sewers, so I use a recipe me Da taught me... Use the inside o yer shield as a cooking pot.  Crack rat eyeballs into it until you have enough liquid. Add Rathides and let soak til tender...did you say Ale review???

Nevermind. LOL

I give my best opinions on Ale after the 30th free drink...

Ale is such a crude drink. I prefer wine.

This isn\'t a drink at Kada\'s. In fact, it isn?t even a drink from Ylaikum. It was served at a small tavern called \"Harlen\'s Mug\" in my character Aeden\'s hometown. (Chain of Souls)

It\'s called \'Three Kings Falling\'. I\'m not sure how to review it, seeing\'s how no one can seem to remember drinking one. It contains three different strong liquors and an assortment of enhancing spices. Smells great, but anyone who drinks one quickly follows the \'Three Kings\'.  ;)

Oh come on Draklar no matter what I do you will find fault in it.

I\'m trying to get people along the the Tavern and participate in the rp of the game, so instead of just moaning about what I have or haven\'t done - join in and give me some names of the ales you serve.

Ha, good idea. Look on this Drakklar like, you are a tavern staff, you are
selling various drinks, well but how about know consuments opinion which
will help you to make biggest assortiment of your sales, and maybe some
improvements to the menu? ;)

Well whatever their opinions may be, we are *not* selling things like rat stew.
Taking food from sewers doesn\'t make a good reputation, especially if it\'s made from something that may hold a \"plague surprise\" :P

As for special drinks, the ones that have actual role-play origins:

Catnip Wine - invented and made by Clover after coming back from a long journey.... somehere.
Dermorian Shillaste - Brought to Kada-El\'s after my visit in Ojaveda. Sparkling and very vigorous. Made by me, of course :P
Flaming Dwarf - Well, someone said that in tavern once and it sounded awfully like a drink to me. So I made one out of it. A drink with a high alcohol content that is also very spicy.
Demon\'s Whip - Brought by me from a diaboli village that I used to live in. Delicious, but after drinking it you\'ll be a bit easier to convince to all sorts of things.

Well back at my time in Odjaveda I stumbled more than often about a drink called wet kran excrements in want to be taverns and drinking caves. As far as I know it mainly consists of the juice of a foul naja fruit mixed up with some hefty ale and a special ingridient those enkis behind the bar wont say what it is. [whispering]I just hope this isnt what the name says[/whispering] at least it flushed all your memories for four hours, and after those four hours you will feel like you got under the feet of a pack of crazed out half-mature Ulbernauts running towards the next lemon tree.

I personally dont recommend drinking that stuff when you ....
-> .... know that you most likely will fight
-> .... probably will talk to an important and/or beloved person.
-> .... dont want to spent hours over hours of finding your path, because you dont know where you ended up after drinkin that stuff.
