Azure Sun Revealed!

Hi All!
This is my first attempt to make any fanart for PS and i modeled the Azure Sun. I hope you like it...

So, Can you bear the immense release of unknown energies??


The different colors coming from crystal core are random release of different type of energies that empower different ways of magic. The crystal is modeled without any care of actual story.

Well, the Azure Sun doesn\'t just hang in mid air. It is the bottom portion of a huge crystal column that extends above ground. Other than that, it looks nice and shiney and stuff.

SO in the diagram it\'s the item no 4(blue colored bottom of no 3)?? And i should model it stuck in a cave type roof.

Actually, if you look at his description below the picture it is #2.  #4 is the water in the bottom of the stalactite that covers the bottom few levels of Yliakum (Hydlaa is on the top level).

May I ask what kinds of maps you threw on that?  I tried doing something similar in max and kept getting at least a few places completely black.

Edit:  Corrected the explanation of the stalactite according to lynx.  This is why I\'m an art guy. :P

I used took the default map in Max Lib which is \'Blue Glass\', and tweaked it a bit to be brighter, i was also getting some dark parts befor.

then i added many lights about 7, on top,bottom,left,right,befor & after the crystal and one light in center of the crystal.

THen for final rendering i used video post\'s Glow and Flare lens effects.

one improvement you could make is that the stream of light coming out is Red, blue, green, purple.  It should be according to basic science ROY G. BIV.  Wow, cant believe I still remember that.

If the Azure Sun is a crystal then it should reflect other colors of the rainbow, not sure maybe someone knows about that better them me but thats what i remember...lol didnt pay much attention in science class.

I just made it without thinking much about the reality of it in PS. Just made those little colours coming outwards for beauty. I\'ll try to be a bit more careful when modeling some other thing.  :P
