Problem Initialising World

I have downloaded both versions of this game and both will not let me upload the world. The first would make me wait for ages and then crash with a message saying that the server crashed. The second seemed to work fine (the music finally worked) but when I attempted to upload my character it would once again stop at loading world. I have no idead what else I can do. I really want to try this game out even though its not the full one yet.
What can I do?

well, i have seen many people say it \"stops\" at loading world, but its not really stopping, its just going REALLY slow.  If u just walk away for a while it should finish loading, then start loading faster from then on, i had the same problem.

Version 1.003 or wahtever wont work whatever you do, read through the forums other people have had the same problems.

I had a problem when uploading as well, the program became unresponsive when i press ctrl+alt+delete and other times it just can\'t connect.  Is the server down? (edit) got it working okay now
