Ahh Josephoenix... How could I forget how you helped me out, thanks dude :)... Another thanks goes out to Ghirtek who helped me alot with the template in the beginning.

I thought that bluish outline wasn\'t too bad but it can easily be fixed.

As for the tips box... I havn\'t yet been able to come up with a way to make the tips box look like part of the original design, which I believe is imperative.
I cannot just whack a translucent box over the area as it looks sloppy.

However I see you mentioned something about changing the location of the tips box to go in the console... Such a thing would be brilliant! :D If you can really move the place where the tips are displayed it would be most helpful Jose :)

P.S. Chriskl: The magic shop and the terrain region (path to ojaveda) are both the same area.. and a screenshot for that area has already been made prior to this contest.

WizardsRule: a 3 word post is not much help. Dungeons are dark by definition.

Okay, Methos, You asked for it!

http://josephoenix.ps-mc.com/tipslocation.zip

download that into your planeshift folder and extract. Everything should go to its correct folder, you just have to tell it to overwrite stuff in the way (if it overwrites and bad stuff happens, just run the updater).

for those who want to see what it does, try
http://josephoenix.ps-mc.com/almost.jpg (the text position is corrected in the version in the zip, I was just too lazy to get another screenshot)

Methos, if you want the template just come to irc.freenode.net channel #planeshift and message me.

Saytra,

Remember that the focus of the shot must be in the right hand side of the image - since the rest is covered with a template.

so if what you wanna see in the screenshot is in the left hand why not reversing the picture with gimp?

Nah, that\'d not be an actual ingame shot anymore.
However, since the left side essentially is totally clogged up anyway, it wold be possible to just cut out the appropriate part of the screenshot and place it in the rigth place.
Anyway, on my next visit to the DR I\'ll try to re-take the screenies with a more appropriate focus.

I was just pointing out that in his shots, the focus was in the centre - which can\'t be Gimp\'d really.

The evil corners in the left would have to be filled by something, aye. So here are the re-taken entries,

After looking through all the Hydlaa shots I\'m not seeing any that are perfect.  A few are pretty good.  Sorrow\'s is pretty good, but isn\'t placed correctly to look good in the loading screen (the temple is too high).  I think Efflixi\'s has about the right positions, but I think it could use some work in the composition.  Maybe if you took that shot a few paces to the right so that the statue is silhouetted (sp?) against the sky it would be better.  Focal points and such always look better silhouetted than in front of something (especially another focal point - the temple).  This is why the females in commercials (or The Price is Right) always hold the product they are showing to the side, never in front of them.
