Ranged Weapons

In PlaneShift you should be able to get ranged weapons like Bows, Staves, and maybe even Rifles. That woould be so cool. And maybe you would have to get ammo for them or something.

There are going to be bows, throwing axes and so on. But I don\'t know (hope) there will be any rifles, and well about the ammo part, what good would a bow be without arrows? ;)

what would be nice is either soe rifles or an automatic crossbow like van helsing. that would be sweet

there will be no rifles, no Van Helsink crassbows, no ammo, no turrents. only a few primitive bows and a rock.

In the past, because of people like you who were never happy, developpers changed their mind and started to develop another release of ps based on Quake-Like games. We (the fan of planeshift mmorpg) were forced to protest very actively and finally we saved the CB planeshift mmorpg project... But it was close : the developpers broacasted a news :

I am sure ranged weapons will be available eventually.  Guns are overrated.  If they were implimented they would be not anymore effective than any other ranged weapon, so there is no reason to do it other than for the WoW copycat factor.

If range weapons are impilmented you should be forced to carry all of your bows and bolts, they would disapear after use and you could not carry more than 40 or so at a time. Less if your a smaller race.

lol, that sounds like fun to me, but transfer the whole game to space? then they must rebuilt the whole world again!
it surely fits better to the name of the game...

will be cool if all ammo enter in monster loot after use, with a probability of u get it back broken instead of it get lost forever like it got to another dimension like in some games
