The Circle of Mages - NW America guild

Hello.

I am William of Insandustries, A.K.A. \"Zkin\".  About 2 or 3 years ago, I found out about Planeshift and joined.  Fairly soon after that event, I started a guild called the Circle of Mages.  However, I never recruited to that guild after inviting a few friends, and soon forgot about it.  Now, with the new version out at last, I have re-instated the Circle of Mages and have decided to let in some of our fairly few NW American players, and maybe some other people if you really want to be here.  If you are interested, or have questions, feel free to post onto this thread or send me a message.  I check the forum fairly often, but usually around 4:00 PM Pacific Time.  

Though I would like to keep this guild mostly in NW America, I will accept all comers unless I have a reason not to.

Well for starters you need ALOT more info...like maybe a story, ranks.....

Before a few days ago I had not been planning to take any members other than my friends, mostly because I was not online particularly often or at regular times.  Now, however, a new version of Planeshift has come out, and my schedule has changed such that I can be online fairly regularly at 4:00.  So, I have decided to start recruiting.  However, I hope you will understand that I am still deciding on most of the details with my friends.  Hopefully I will have the requested posted within one or two weeks, but I can\'t make any promises.  

In general, however, our rules will likely be fairly lax; we of the Circle of Mages are a varied and tolerant group, and we only call ourselves \"The Circle of Mages\" because that is what most of us are.  All class focuses are welcome; after all, mages do not do well without support from other characters of all focuses.  The life expectantcy of a lone mage is about 10 minutes at the high end.

Well actually planeshift isn\'t supposed to have guilds that are just for a certain area and nothing more. Guilds are supposed to be made for rp reasons. Get a story, a site, ranks, a goal, an alignment, and try again.

If you read the whole of my message, I am NOT exclusuve to what areas I recruit from.  However, I did say that I would prefer members from NW America.

As for Alignment, we of the Circle of Mages are good.  As guild leader, I will say that I have been talking over the idea of being a \"Arcane Protectors of Good\" guild with my fellows, and it seems to be going well.  Still, as I have said, nothing is quite certian yet; in fact, I think prehaps I spoke a bit too soon about this.

Ah, so you think enough of yoruselves to name yourself the Circle of Mages, eh? That\'s interesting, very interesting. Time will tell if you indeed deserve the name, or not. It would seem that you already have a benefactor, so I will not intervene. However, in the unlikely event that you need help which he cannot proffer, feel free to come to me. In the equally unlikely event that you find yourselves at odds with the AO, again, come to me.

I don\'t think this Circle of Mages has much future. This thread is five months old and I haven\'t heard anything else about this guys. You should pay more attention to the posts\' age.

The Arcane Order seems to be the most suitable guild for mages, at the moment. However the Arcane Order doesn\'t seem to be active in-game. Plus, magic isn\'t efficient for the time being.
You should check Kada El\'s Guild List and try finding there a guild that suits you. You can also search for guild promotional threads on this forum section.
