I have a still a lot of glitches, especially inside buildings (arena, a.s.o.)
But I have no doubt that DFryer will take care of it, so I\'ll try my best to be patient

There is now a fix for it.

Open up the file data/config/r3dopengl.cfg using a text editor (like TextEdit)  Then, somewhere, on a blank line, add this:

Video.OpenGL.DelaySwap = no

This *should* fix a lot of the glitchiness! Thanks to res2k of Crystal Space for suggesting this.

It works for me.  I just tried this fix and I was in the castle before being driven nuts by all the graphic redraws.

So far so good.

I have added the line in the config file. It works almost perfect. Thanks to both Chaos and DFryer. Will there be a solution as simple as this one to deal with the sound? :)

dying...

this sounds like you have a permission issue.  \"Read only\" is a basic access permission.  Are you sharing this computer with anyone else?  Or you may have installed this program under your \"Administrator\" login name and you are simply logging in another account?

command + I the planeshift folder.  Look under ownership & permissions.
Are you the owner?  If you are, then just unlock the folder, give yourself access and relock the folder.

If you are not, the then owner needs to give you access rights.

If you need help doing this there\'s plenty to read about this on the Internet.

ok so i tried the  permission access thing.  i share acomputer with my family so its all under one name.  it says that the file is ownned by the username we have.  its unlocked but evrything is faded.   the access option comes up as read and write.  any advice. i dont use text edit so i dont know about it.  :(

You need to have copied the \"Planeshift  3D\" folder from inside the PS_Install disk image, to your Desktop or the Applications folder.  It cannot be modified while in the PS_Install folder (and no settings will be able to be saved)

The hack works 100% for me. I went to every place where I\'ve experienced that glitch and it doesn\'t do it anymore. Now I can explore the arena without hitting a wall and not knowing it!

Thank you!!!

The glitch have all gone with the little fix, but there is a small problem left.
Some places which normally is dark shaded becomes totally black, some small spots in the arena, and all the grass (former green) in front of the magic shop becomes black. Not a big problem, just the look :)

One other little problem. When I went down a stair and use 3 person follow view, the vertical areas in the stair gets invinsible.
