First I want to say that this isn\'t your average guild so if you are looking for a team to join, hoping to climb in ranks, dominate Yliakum and defeat other guilds that disagree with your alignment you can stop reading here .. this thread would be a waste of your time

Now ...

I want to create a permanent team which will be in charge of events, tournaments, games, ... like the festival of the hunt for example to make PS a bit more fun.

This could be considered as some sort of guild, only I am not sure whether we will actually appear in the form of a real guild in the game yet or not. It also won\'t be a guild that will be involved in guild wars, alignments, etc.

Would you be interested in joining then put down some info in this thread. Give us your in game name, some additional information about your character, its history, stories, .. and of course why you wish to help.
You \'ll have to convince me that you will be a valuable member and can contribute towards creating cultural events. Skills a member of this team can posses are leadership, advertising, being good with people, able to take care of difficult situations or troublemakers, organised, skills in programming (for mods etc.), skills in website creating or maintenance, graphic skills, storywriting and creating skills, ... You can be asked to come up with and host a small event, game or undergo any other test to prove your ability.

Also please provide some alternative means of contacting you .. email, msn, IRC, .. and let me know where you are from and more importantly in what timezone you are.

Our current team exists out of McKnight (Seiferrune), Phinehas and myself but we can definitely use more capable members.


P.S.: Both current members have proven themselves to me in the Festival of the Hunt .. and for those who were there I hope I have proven myself towards the community.
Also the name will change .. it isn\'t an official one yet.

Very interesting. I was going to do something similar with The Sheeple Foundation. Really, I was. That is until I found out that Arnigus is so fat that he can only take one step every three to five seconds (yes, I RP lag ). So I decided to try to pull some strings from outside the game.

As for helping, well, I\'m a writer (check out CoS, The Sixth Epoch, or lots of other ramblings if you don\'t believe me ). If you can use this skill, you know how to find me.

As for a test, we\'ll have to see how my election goes in a few weeks.

I don\'t have any type of IM (due to slow typing skills).

Sorry for beating you to it .. I also heard Draklar was planning something similar but I haven\'t heard from that anymore lately so I am just starting an organization up myself.

Now you definitely have proven your skill in writing and I think you could pull this election off, though obesity ( read=lag ) would be a major issue. I wish you the best of luck with that.

I think you could definitely add some things to our team, even though you might not be able to get in game much. Your creative mind and writings can be very useful. However I don\'t want to take your project away from you. So I gladly accept you into our team but I will have to insist that these planned elections bear your name and are in no way an initiative of this team. Though we may possibly be helping out if we can.

I was just joking around with Induane about you creating a guild/ organization that would handle suchs things.  I think it is a good idea of course but are you going to make it a guild or organization?  The only reason I ask is because if it is an organization then people already in guilds can join.  If so I would like to be apart of it.

PS Not sure of the name though.. I just think people will point and laugh at us

For the reason you mentioned it will be an organization though there may be an actual guild as well but I will never ask people who are already a part of another guild to leave theirs and join mine. You can be a member without joining the guild.

Just think of the \'pointing and laughing\' I would have had with the Sheeples. (That was kind of their purpose, though)

I will bend my mind to think of a good name, and perhaps you could clue me in on the past of the org, and we could work on some sort of offical history.

Also, maybe it would be a good idea to start some sort of column in the PS Times.

Oh ya, you would be working with Arnigus Faymore, of the Sheeples, not my char from CoS.

Reading my mind Under .. I was just thinking of creating a bit of history for us earlier. I \'ll let you in on what I have so far.

As for the PS times we could probably get a column there, I \'ll talk to Adyna about it. Right now I \'m still waiting anxiously on the article of the Festival of the Hunt.

I do want to be involved.  My ingame name is Valbrandr Wulfenstein.  I am a founder of the Sentinels of the Ragnarok and one of the founders of the United Realm of Planeshift.  I am an able writer, along with organizational skills.   The main reason I want to be apart of this organization is because in order to attract new people and keep those who are already here we need to make the game as fun as possible for the player.   My email is jesseduck60@yahoo.com.  Hope to hear back soon.

And of course you can count on myself as well.  Valbrandr and I are not seperated gepgraphically, and can thus work together well to accomplish things too in joint efforts.  

I sent Adyna several screenshots I took of the festival (thats what I was doing when I would dissappear for a bit), and she is using at least 3 of them in the next issue of the PS Times.  And of course you can catch me daily in the URPS channel.

Some additional information about your character, its history, stories:  Too long for here, refer to our guilds history on our site or our main Sentinels of the Ragnarok thread.

And of course why you wish to help:  I actually started a thread on this and met you as you posted in the thread I started.  Hehe, my reasons for wanting to help are that I think this event can help with the problems I was concerned about (mentioned in that thread).

Skills:

Leadership: Co Founder and co leader of The Sentinels of the Ragnarok

Advertising: Spend several hours ingame spreading word of the festival.

Being good with people: No good examples, just take my word for it.

Skills in programming (for mods etc.): I created one, albeit a bit too late, on a slow connection, with bad results (windows installer didn\'t work).  I\'m already in progress on a new one (much better and smaller too).

Skills in website creating or maintenance: Origional guild web master before someone better came along

Graphic skills:  Most of my mod work on the festival patch is an example (if you ever got to try it out).

UTM: here\'s a potential weight loss program that seems to work for others:  Go into \"Options/Camera\" and lower your distance variable.   That way you will be a bit myopic, but you\'ll be able to walk.
