Mining - Useless?

My mining skill is miles ahead of my swordsmanship, but I still make way more by just hunting rats!  Mining platinum, it takes forever to get fully loaded, and I still don\'t make as much as when I kill rats.  It takes longer, and it\'s less profitable per load.


What\'s the deal?  Am I doing something wrong?  Will this be changed in future updates?

dont worry, in time if you just wait and then train in blacksmithing, you can create stocks

1 iron stock is worth 80 tria, so if you hang on you will be good!

Apparently, I was doing it all wrong.  Platinum is much more difficult to find than the rest of them.  I should have started with gold or even iron, and only switch to platinum once I had a lot of experience under my belt.

I am sure you will be able to use platinum for items in the future .. not at the moment yet though.
