*John returns to his former possition near Druke, the both men exchange some words. John\'s face grows grimmer as he hears and sees all that is being done. He watches Am-Heh smirking and laughing and generally making fool out himself, how could people even think supporting him, he shall bring nothing but disorder to Hydlaa. Thoughts drift by that having Am-Heh as an Octarch is worst than having Cabal run the city! He stands silent, all that needed have been said.*

You can try, but you shall fail! Seek us not, we shall find you.

*tries to figure to where is Arnigus looking and finaly sees a shape and feels a huge impulse of going there to check him and thinks to himself: \"He can\'t be more powerfull than me. Although I would like to talk with him...\"

*hears the others speaking and turns to the fountain again always consious of the shape on a roof
*looks at Am-Heh
Am-Heh, glad you liked the apple, more will come ;)

*hears John\'s thoughts and agrees with him and turns back to Am-Heh
Do you think your attitide will help you winning the elections? I don\'t think so, I even think those barmaids won\'t vote for you!
*hears the Kran\'s speech Ok, I was wrong... but.. well, that\'s the only vote you\'ll get...

*goes close to Arnigus sending a thought to the Kran to let him know he means no harm to anyone and whispers: You\'re safe here, that... Am-Heh, won\'t try anything, not with all this crowd here and lots of powerfull people. Although I\'m interested in that shape in the roof...

Looks at Phinehas and says to all As I said before, leadership can be earned with time. Oh, and never underestimate the \"children\", give them a chance. These \"children\" can have great ideas and may have the power to make them become truth.

It\'s hot today! *removes his emerald-green tunic and looks to the shape on the roofs again and thinks to himself \"That... thing can\'t be normal... Maybe I shouldn\'t worry about that too much\"

John... you\'re making Am-Heh do stuff :P (which he\'ll probably do anyway) Under the Moon said not to make other PCs do stuff... :P

you seem to mistaken me for someone else my dear Phinny, although I\'m greatly thankful fopr the prior blessing those words offend me. How does one prove there wisdom to those who generally aren\'t willing to listen?  I cannot orally prove it to you here nor can i prove it to those who do not near my domains(nor those whose domain i dare not enclose upon). Honsestly i wish to inverse your statement to make it more true, i may not be the most wise, however i am the one who can use our resources in a constructive maner, and  keep our people happy with our decisions, as well as work to a compromise with those who are a bit skeptic towards everything *nudges AoM*

to Druke: grabbing back to roman society is only true in art. In things like socially or politically they did not try to recreate the roman society. They mostly didn\'t even know what that was.

Socially things like turning away from the church (becuase things in the bible like a flat earth didn\'t seem to be true) were issues and those had nothing to do with roman values.

In Character:

*Meriner frowns as he is named a child*

A child? Even before I entered Hydlaa I have been around for a long time. I have led people in many \"other cities\". I also do not feel the time I have spend here is in itself nothing. Having seen more then five cycles of the moon in Hydlaa I think I know enough of the world and have made enough friends to not be called a CHILD in Hydlaa affairs.

Those that do call people like me a child to get rid of them show a very shocking lack of respect to people who do not belong to the \"inner core\".

This elitism is one of the reason there is this division. It\'s the reason the new people stay new a lot longer then they should have to be. They are not accepted. They are not welcomed. Sometimes they are even shunned.

If this city, if this plane wants to become strong, if it wants to be the best it can be. We must unite. We must unite in the fact we all love Hydlaa and the towns surrounding it.

To elect an Octarch who want to represent just one side is to elect someone who will fail. Is to elect someone who will be ignored totally and perhaps even laughed at by the other. An Octarch should be above such petty disputes, becuase don\'t be mistaken. These disputes are petty in the large picture.

\"Agreed. If we are divided, we will fail to act before it is too late, and people like Am-Heh will come to power. If Am-Heh is elected, this city will be reduced to utter chaos. Those who can defend themselves will find that they are hard-pressed to drive back the legions of Am-Heh\'s guild of evil, Deus ex Trucido, especially when he supplements their armament with weaponry bought with government money. Those who can not fight back, will find themselves robbed, tortured and killed. If we elect Am-Heh, we not only bring a madman into power, but also doom our fair city to destruction beyond anything ever seen before in Yliakum. Therefore, good citizens of Hydlaa, I beg of you, stand strong for what is right and good and make sure that this city stays free of corruption and evil so that all may live here in peace and be welcomed into the community.\"

*Phinehas smiles and shakes his head.*

You misunderstand my use of the word children. Perhaps it was the wrong word to use. I simply meant that in this world they are not nearly as experienced as the other candidates. Nothing more, nothing less. I\'m sorry if I offended you. Personally, however, I will not accept anyone who has not proven themselves among the community. I do not doubt their ability to think intelligently, or to have vital ideas, however, they have not yet proven themselves, and I remain cautious.

His temper being fuelled by the constant heckling of other candidates two weak, lilly livered and retarded to mount a campagien and instead blindly attacking his.
Continuing to grin and laugh with his entourage, Amheh  thinks to himself, keeping a watchful eye on the Kran with the ugly birthmark.
Then calling on some more ales to be distributed amongst all.
Muttering in the young maids ear he askes that she supplement any rivals drinks with some of her own bodily fluids, she winks and whispers back.\"no problem my lord, your whim is my command.

 Turning towards Kranmanb, to say.

These scum think that they can sway popular opinon by spreading lies and mistruths about me? Some of these hopefuls dont even care if they are elected, as long as i am not!! They must not have much drive to become Octarch or vision for our realm if elected!, their only purpose obviously to hinder me. Which they do poorly.

Watching as a few of the Beautifull Enki barmaids distribute the drinks amongst eveyone. Many glance towards Amheh looking at him with uncertainty.
Deciding its probably safer to drink from the waterskin tied to his belt.(obviously not containing water..but virgins blood mixed with a little rum).
Not mistrusting the maids, but just making certain theres no mix ups.
Its to early to have the taste of maid on his lips.
Prefering his bloody marry to the poor quality ale anyway, he raises his waterskin in the air..

*Standing, Amheh shouts!

To all of you, Even those of little faith in me ..I shant judge you too severly for you are young and niave and Have obviously mis-understood or have been lead down the wrong path.

After regaining his seat , he hears some of the crowds people complaining about the funny tasting ale.

Finally reaching boiling point and no longer being able to keep the false smile on his face, Amheh turns too look at the  few hopefulls snickering and talking amongst themselves.

All of you hear this, I have a direction, goals....and one hell of a temper!

Looking at a few of the more loudly spoken candidates and crowd members.

Those of you who threaten me with physical action , better be ready to stand true to their word. John Thandar has already found out, if our paths cross, within our realm, Your death will be swift! In any other place but here of course..

Amheh looks cautiosly towards Arnigus and then his brute of a friend.

That stands for all of you!

*Arnigus holds out his hand to judge how the shadows fall on the ground. An hour till dark, by his guess. Time to call this day a close.*

Dear folks, I fear it is time to bring this meeting to a close until the morrow. I thank you for all coming here on this day to speak your minds, but I think that it may be best to rest the night and let tempers cool. I will see you here on the morrow...

*he tries to give Am-Heh a threatening look, but the grim look on Had\'s face makes up for the failure*

...All of you. Had here would not take kindly to any accidents in the night. A good night to you all.

*Arnigus turns and heads for home, followed by Had. The crowd slowly disperses. The cloaked figure remains silently unmoving on the roof...watching and waiting. It had felt as Lordbug\'s eyes fell upon it. Felt the curiosity in those glances as he had pulled off his tunic in the heat. He would be coming soon, if those looks where judged correctly...or Fate made it so...(continued in PM)*

[ooc]
Good job, all. I give this break so as the \'arguments\' have some \'time\' to cool off. Feel free to wander back into the Plaza anytime, but take note that it will be the next day.

Also, please keep OOC comments and arguments to a minimum.

Thank you all for your time. It means a lot.

Name: Nilaya Kaeli
Race/Gender: Female Enkidukai
Age: 20
Following: Other
Ways: Mostly Crystal, some Blue. Focus in Healing/Light.

A new day dawns on Hydlaa city, and many gather \'round the fountain in the morning light. Over the morning hubbub, a commanding yet gentle voice calls out: \"Your attention, please!\"

Eyes dart around to locate the source of the voice. Finally, they shift toward the statue at the center of the fountain, where a lone enkidukai stands. \"How did she get there?\" several whisper. The spotted figure simply smiles, her blue eyes twinkling slightly. Certain she\'s gathered enough curiousity, she vaults boldly to a lower perch on one of the fountain chutes, closer to the crowds.

She smooths her white robe and smiles at her audience. \"Good morning!\" she greets, waiting as the crowd murmors back. \"I am Nilaya Kaeli, a new entrant in the race for Octarch of Hydlaa.\"

\"A year and a half ago, my guild?the Explorers?was without leader. Our founder had departed suddenly, with no word, and no trace...and the effects were obvious. The once great Explorers slowly started to fade away, like so many others. Though I had never sought to lead a guild, friends from all over sought me out as the one to take her place?to lead the Explorers.\"

\"And so I did. I reworked the guild to be solid and sustainable...to value community and people over artificial titles and requirements. Tasks long neglected were completed, old friends came together, and many new friends joined our diverse ranks. Under my leadership, the guild quickly turned around, and gained a distinctive feel?setting it apart from the rest.\"

She grins broadly. \"Not to brag, but as many of you know, the Explorers just celebrated two years together?yet have never been stronger. Over twenty of us actively roamed these streets just this last week...many who have been with us for years. Yet, even with over fourty members...we are still close-knit. What other guild can boast so?\"

Many in the crowd applaud, impressed.

The enkidukai continues, her voice surprisingly calm: \"In all that time, I have kept the guild absolutely neutral?not showing favoritism to any one group...not even the guilds of my own friends. We\'ve had no allies, nor any enemies...free to simply be ourselves. You can expect that I would act impartially as Octarch.\"

\"I\'ve shown over the years that I\'m not afraid to call the shots, to use my own judgment and act on it?but yet I almost always seek input from people I trust, and from those affected by my decisions.\" She looks out over the crowd, and gestures, engaging them: \"Isn\'t it obvious? A good leader must be able to work with others?no Octarch, no matter how good, can solve our problems alone!\"

\"If you have any doubts, ask any Explorer. You will find I have proven myself effective, yet not disconnected from those around me.\"

She pauses. \"So what will I stand for?\"

\"It is clear to me that the greatest problem we face is this jibberish that\'s overtaken our land. I know you\'ve seen them?people who speak in strange, meaningless numbers and symbols...who somehow know our names, before any introductions are said...yet never really know us. Their very lives are nothing more than tria and training...but to what end?\"

Her eyes take on a kind of fire, energized as she surveys the crowd. \"And don\'t think I\'m talking only about newly arrived travellers! Even many who\'ve been here for ages have fallen to this strange illness?completely unable to operate in our society.\"

\"Many know nothing of the rich cultural heritage of these lands...of the legend of Korogan...the building of Hydlaa...the distinctive dsars of Ojaveda...indeed, many of them do not even know of Laanx nor Talad!\" An audible gasp ripples through the crowd; Nilaya simply grins. \"Sad, isn\'t it?\"

\"As Octarch, I would encourage activities and festivals which bring us together as a community, and celebrate the richness of our land\'s culture. I would fight to bring the lost back into our society?many of them simply don\'t know how. With a bit of guidance, they would become valuable citizens, living and working among us.\"

\"I\'m saddened by the lack of balance in education?so much training in various skills, but such little care for geography or history. Or even for taking time to interact with those around us. Together, if we can open the eyes of the lost, we will do more for our society than we could ever imagine. We can\'t afford to let them fade away.\"

Finally, she stops. \"Thank you!\" she beams, taking a customary bow. Smiling, she nimbly jumps down to the cobblestones below, and pads toward a quieter grassy area left of the main road.

Oh, you think you are that good Am-heh? You really think that you are invulnerable? I am not to stupid as to threaten you with violence, if I did so I would not be better than you. But there are many who are better than you.

Spilts the ale on the ground, instead of drinking it, revealing that it was tainted with blood.

I just can say, that if you would be elected I would wander out.

He made a pause

And only come back when I grew strong enough to challenge you.

Hydlaa sparkled, the sky sparkled, the ground sparkled.  Greenwood (thats me) look on in excitement at the nearly naked female Xacha dancers in the square.  The air was filled with sounds of a carnival.  Greenwood breathed  a deep breath and was made aware of [his] horrible breath.  He awoke with a jump to all the commotion in the square.  He sat up and brushed the trash he had been sleeping under off of him.

He thought, surely my brothers think that I have been killed.  If not for all of the free ale that been given so freely, I would have been home before the crystal dimmed.

He ran off to report back to his brothers with dancing and singing maidens in his head and some of the effects of the ale still on him

\"I know who I am voting for!\" he said.
