First this should probably be in the mac forum. Hopefully a mod will move it there.

Also, except for the best of macs/PCs, Hydlaa Plaza is always choppy.

Right, anyways, yes, there are some things you can do...

First, turn down from 32 bit (which should be the standard setting) to 16 bit. There will obviously be a slight decrease in how nice the world looks. To do this, open planeshift.cfg in the planeshift folder with text edit. You should see:

Video.ScreenDepth = 32

Change this to:

Video.ScreenDepth = 16

Second, you can change it so that it is not fullscreen (in the same file, make sure it says fullscreen = false)

Also, change the resolution in the same file to something that works better for you.

Third, in game, turn off all the fading of the windows (right click on one of the info windows, and change to no fading)

Fourth, in game...and this one helps a lot, but probably only do it if the others don\'t work enough, go to options and screen and change to adaptive, turning down the distance to around 100, or even as low as 50 if you really have to ( I have a 667 Ti G4, and doing the first, followed by turning it down to 100 makes it run great).

Finally, disable sound and music (music doesn\'t work anyways at the moment)

Hope this helps,
