I absolutely agree with indie, they *are* feline.  Male lions have a mane but female lions don\'t.  Buy wigs or hair pieces in the future if you want to, but I think they will look ridiculous (on a female).

Who says that endukai didn\'t decend from humans into cats, than vice versa?

Even more in role would be that the gods cursed a few wrong men into these cat creatures, and they retained some of their old traits like long hair and humanoid stature.

We simply don\'t know, and it\'s up to the devs to decide whether to implement these features. I for one, can\'t see why wigs wouldn\'t be enough for hairstyling.

I think they\'d look pretty cool with anime-like hair XD.

Interesting that the character design includes humanlike qualities but not hair. But if you think about it, why would a creature covered in full body fur sprout hair on their head?

In saying that, who is to say that some Enki, taken with the curious Ylian fashion do not adopt some kind of wig or head dress?

The character Ayshe does not have any hair, most likely because my interpretation of her appearance was originally based on the character I was shown in the creation screen. I guess it never occurred to me she could have had long flowing golden locks. Bleck.

If they ever do implement human-ish hairstyles, I\'ll be one of the many opting not to use them. Just a preference thing, I guess.

Probability does. While it cannot be ruled out, it is extremely unlikely that evolution would ever take this path. It is more likely that, by some twist, longer head hair became some sort of attribute by which to assess the reproductive qualities of a female, which would then make it more ane more common by selection.

Considering that Enkiness can\'t be regarded as a curse AFAICS, and also considering that there is no mention of such an occurance in the PS history, the only option would be that the gods of the Enki homeland did that. However, they\'d have had to curse a whole lot of people with this in order to enable them to become so many instead of slowly ceasing to exist AFAICS. Again, not completely impossible, but highly unlikely as well.

I think that long flowing hair on Enkidukai looks terribly odd, myself. However, some sort of decorative fur elements on the head and/or down the back would be nice. There are a lot of comparisons of Enkidukai with lions, but they are not one and the same. Why Enkidukai have to be based on such a creature when it comes to hair is beyond me. Plus I like the idea of braids - it seems really tribal. Several braids, down the back. Not that my character has any of that ;)

I really really really want customizable tuffs on the ends of tails, though. At least give Fenki that ;D

I wouldn\'t mind If Enki\'s got a moehawk kinda looking thing down their backs. It would look so cool, make them look like some kinda dinosaur with their spinal bones petruding. But xcept for bones it would be hair.
But this really is a crazy thread. What\'s the point of talking about this? I mean there is soo much to be done with planeshift that I don\'t think anyone will place decorating the character models as primary, ahead of anything else.
I mean the game is so bare that its all about role-playing now anyway, its not like you imagine your character looking the way the screen presents him/her, cause then everyone would look the same in their mind.

O_o

Which is precisely why it would be pretty damn awesome to have a wide variety of skins/meshes available - appearances help with establishing a character. I go nuts right now, seeing everyone the same, so I create random skins every so often just to break from this monotony.

As for what\'s the purpose of such a discussion? Well, what\'s the purpose of any discussion? To discuss future possibilities, to hear of the opinions of others, to brainstorm. Character diversity certainly won\'t be THE primary goal, but it won\'t be the last thing addressed, definitely. It should be worked on along with everything else, and built up with time just as every other function.

And yeah, mohawks would be cool :P

Personally, i like the idea of longer head fur on enkis. mostly because more people can have an origianal(forgive my spelling) character in the world. But if The devs don\'t like that idea, they could at least do something like Red XIII (from FF7) Granted this would be considered a mane, it doesn\'t have to be free flowing, they could braid it to give it a little style

I can just see a bald menki! grossa!!!!!
Any hair would look yuck I think.
Then again...... maybe a green mohawk would look a bit \"different\"!!!

I\'d imagine an Enki to shed fur like real-life cats do (no don\'t make them actually shed in-game!), not having their hair grow long enough to braid or whatever. You could however have different markings in the fur (spots, stripes, etc) to personalize your character, as opposed to humans\' head hair.
The poor Klyros don\'t even have hair, feel sorry for them!
