Freedom of speech is, well, kind of important to most people from the U.S. But more important, in my opinion, is the ability to accept dissention. Forgive me if I step on anyone\'s toes, but MMORPGs tend to be inhabited by younger people who don\'t understand why flaming, banning or kicking is so bad. It\'s a sign of ignorance and insecurity. Something you are supposed to grow out of.
Yes, I\'m annoyed that a thread of mine was deleted. But I\'m more annoyed that it seems okay to some people to just burn the books they don\'t like.
You might say, \"we\'re gaming, so what\'s the big deal?\". Well, it should never be okay, in any context, to arbitrarily silence a minority opinion. Let the intellectual market reign. The thread that got deleted was a farce thread. It got more views and posts than the original, so what was the audience choosing?
