Planeshift via NFS
« on: May 18, 2005, 04:40:18 pm »
Hello all,
I was wondering if anyone has run Planeshift over NFS?

I have two roomies and we were all playing EverQuest.  We are switching to Planeshift and I already have it installed.

Are there any gotchas I need to look for?  Does it store the character settings local or server side?

I am new to this game.  Thanks in advance for the answers to my questions.

Your controls and saved passwords and such will be shared, everything you changed in the program so to speak after installation will be shared

So each user doesn\'t have a .file or .directory for Planeshift settings?  That information is stored in the Planeshift install directory?

Yes. Means to store per-user configuration (e.g. $HOME on *nix, Documents & Settings on Win32) are present in CrystalSpace, but noone put them to use in PS as far as I know.
