First of all, type a little more coherently please...

Secondly, there\'s two ways to get past the black updater crap:
    1)  stick a \"-auto\" switch on the updater\'s command
(make it\'s shortcut \" -auto\"; note the space after the name)
    2)  click the \"update\" link in spite of the draw errors  :P
(this seems to work just fine)

Supposedly, windows is currently updatable but other OS\'s are not yet ready.

It\'s about 80 MB, so it may take a while on non-broadband connections.

I can confirm on the other OS\'s not being ready...
(Linux here)
Oh, and there also seems to be a bug with char creation...
I haven\'t experianced this, seeing as I have not made any recently, but be aware.
Crazy am I. Not responsable for crazyness that ensues.

My update just finished, and my updater is now back to normal.

I\'m off to check PS now...

just outta curiosity-after you set up the -auto does the updater still look funky but work?

The \"-auto\" switch runs it in an automatically updating text-based mode instead.  (don\'t need a button to start the update, so no graphics to glitch...)
