Graphics Glitch
« on: May 19, 2005, 12:56:22 pm »
So... yeah.

I got logged in after I edited the CFG to disable sound.

I finally got in, and I\'m really happy...

But there\'s this graphics glitch that\'s making buttons damn near impossible to use.

Here\'s the pic.

It looks like the buttons are resized wrong. Try fixing the size manually in your planeshift.cfg or else just remove planeshift.cfg (make a copy first) and run updater again to fetch the default one.

This happened to allot of people.  Just hold shift over the buttons to get the drag dot to appear, and then drag it to the right size.

There\'s also a bump on top of the the top left button. Right click it and it should reset.

My screen looks exactly like Scened\'s screen.  It seems damn near impossible to find the resize button.  I am going to try the cfg file option next.

Edit: Update on saga of the graphics glitch.

Deleted the planeshift.cfg file then updated, and PS crashed on loading screen.

Heard there was a problem with sound so I ran the setup program and it crashed too.

Looked back online.  found a post on editing the PSclient.cfg by hand.

Now PS works but I am stuck with the windowed mode.  I prefer the full screen and 800 by 600.

I haven\'t had this much fun with my computer in a while. Thanks PS for the fun!
