it\'s probably not a bug, it\'s just that the recomended requirements are still fairly minimum. If you guys think this isn\'t the case, you\'ll have to provide your computer details, i.e. speed, graphics card, connection etc.

But, here are some tips to speed up the game:

1.) Switch to 16 bit color, it makes it run much faster and there is hardly a noticable color difference. If you really need to, switch to 8 bit, but then it looks pretty bad.
2.) Don\'t run fullscreen.
3.) Set adaptive distance in options and display, turning down the distance to as low even as 50 from the standard 200. It won\'t look as good, but it\'ll help amazingly well.
4.) Turn off all other running applications on the computer...MSN etc.
5.) Set the windows in game to not be transparent, this eats up speed.

That\'s all I can suggest for all systems, there are a couple other things I know of that affect mac clients only.

Hope this helps,

I\'m sure the low fps are due a bug during the last transition to the new version of crystal space. Before the average fps was greater.
That\'s specially noticeable at the plaza
Are there any MoonSeekers left?

A 128mb Video card (can get them for under $80 AUD) and 512mb DDR Ram($50 AUD a Stick....) solves generally all the problems with planeshift that I have had on my three PS playing machines.

This is a big problem. It means that all rendering must be done by your CPU, because your graphics card cannot be used for this. Either it doesn\'t have any hardware to do it, or the drivers don\'t support OpenGL properly.
If your CPU is below average, this will place too much load on it and make the entire system very slow. So you must get rid of the reason for that message, and things will be faster. Download and install the most recent driver and DirectX versions.
If you got only an onboard graphics card, or some rather outdated thing with <64 MB, you will probably need to buy a new card to get decent performance.
