why are all my names taken i do not understand is it a glitch or what??

*edit* i am just saying that they want rping but i cant rp if both of my rp names are taken i mean i can make more just asking if its a bug?? *edit*

Where did you imput these names? The forum or the client?

2nd of all, which names did you try? Perhaps you could post them here.

Some names are simply common names, and although they may seem very unique to you, they may be used by other players. It\'s all luck really.

For example, my name Kixie: I thought it would have been used before somehow somewhere, but after 3 hours of searching google, I found only a handful of users with the same name. All of them on small communities, skirted on various points of the online landscape.

Meanwhile, a very unique name used by an old friend of mine came up in many different places. I thought the name looked obscure, but apparently the random mixes of letters is very popular.

Or I could just be completely out of this inner circle that chooses to use the name. :P

that is true so i went ahead and did a random and that worked so but yea anyways gorgon was the name. im in game now but my computer is being weird and getting an error im going to have to fix that anyways cya on the battle field.

Didn\'t you say something about RP in your first post? There is no battlefield in PS, and hopefully never will be. The closes thing would be the arena. Hack & Slash isn\'t RP, though all other MMORPGs I know of try to sell it as such...

You know, interestingly enough, my real life given name is Kixie Gorgon-Seytra.  Isn\'t that amazing?  I\'m going to name my first Korean clone Xordan Gorgo-Seytra.  Want your own Korean clone?

At one point I wanted the name Cedric, which turned out to be taken as well....although I would expect that name to be more common than \'Aiselyn\'.

and Aiselyn, it does seem that several famous female names haven\'t been taken... or even less famous female names :P

Well, Cedric would be a male name. I actually have a few characters as it is. :P

This name actually came from a game that no one seems to have ever heard of (anyone heard of \"Entomorph: Plague of the Darkfall\"?). Then again I can\'t even remember if I used the same spelling as was in that game. Her name could have been \'Eiselyn\' or something instead. I decided I liked the name and started a character with it. :P

Well it was by chance that I came by this name.  Back in the time of MB when I came upon this world, during the refinement of my body and attributes after giving name, a box poped up saying that I was \"linkdead\" (for those who were around LD happened very often in char creation but hardly at all in game play). I went through this again but found the name taken.  So I went back and did char creation yet again with a different name and got LDed.  This goes on for a while before I decided to visit the forum where I discover more about this problem.  But by that time I had used up many of my \"personal\" names and did not know that I could delete those partially created chars from the server page.  So I decided instead to use something from a book I was reading at the time.  Yes I know this is not a very good rp thing to do but my imagination was streched.

So now that I have bored anyone who choose to read, I believe I may have successfully killed this thread :D so farewell and good PSing to you.

(I would like to see if anyone knows from what book or series of books that I came upon this borrowed name)

you cannot really expect the first name you think of to be free - of course one can be lucky ;)
