GM Name Changing
« on: May 21, 2005, 02:03:24 am »
I just had my name changed - I am not sure why, as it was a reasonable name and did not enfringe on any of the guidelines as far as I can see.

The name was \"Gunrod\" - a fairly dwarven sounding name from my point of view.

I had set up my family history so that my father was called \"Gunlod\" and that I had inherited the \'Gun\' part... this is an Anglo-Saxon naming convention (I think) and indeed an Anglo-Saxon name...

I just thought I\'d start a discussion regarding this, as it really felt unnecessary to change it.

I have a since done a web search to find what the GM\'s issue was, but all the results seem harmless :/

This has been discussed before.

Certain GMs lack a discerning nature, as well as imagination.

Unfortunately for you, these topics are generally not allowed to be discussed on the public boards.  You\'ll have to message this or another GM with your problems.

Indeed, I purposely did not mention the GM\'s name :)
