client crash
« on: May 21, 2005, 06:28:34 am »
when i try to run the game, it starts to load and then crashes (its been working before, but has not worked since the update).

when is crashes it starts to load the dos: promt or whatever it is, but when it about to load the loading screen (the one with the 4 faces of different races) it crashes and i have to use alt+crtl+delete to close the program.

Also i cant open the settings, so if any one knows a solution to this, (dont think there is one, already check through a couple of threads) please tell me.

Also if this help i was last running the game in full screen,
32 bit depth ,
vertex buffer ON,
load all maps OFF,
screen resolution 1024 X 768,

thats all of the setting i can remember, so if anyone know a way to change them some other way and what to put them to so the game one crash on start up. id be very happy if you could tell me.

Also i do meet the requierments of the game, so dont bother asking me that.

And i also understand that some systems are ready yet, if it help i am running XP home SP2

Disable sound at pssetup
You\'ll need to edit the psssetup.cfg and modify \"multiplex\" and make it \"multiplexer\" (use the notepad) in order to be able to exe the pssetup utility without crash.
Someone should post a fixed topic with the common issues that people is having after the update.

try windowed mode let\'s see if this way you can launch the game.
As for the updater you can always try to launch it in recover mode. (search the forums about that \"recover mode\")

Well then I understand it keeps crashing.
Try to change to vertex buffer off.
You might also try to use 800x600 screen resolution.
