I am actually considering it, but since these are official files I have to consult
things with the project admins, and they are usually busy people. We need a
full relase as well, I made it, if it will work correctly we will think about options.
And why you are complaining that there are no Linux version out if you are
posting in a thread entitled \"Linux installer ready...\". It is ready, it is complete,
you may install it, if it will work - great, if not, we will try to find a reason
toghether, since Planeshift is in a development state everything may happen.
Some people are organizing Torrent stuff, it should be available as on Laanx,
as far as I know from Talad - the admin of Planeshift. So, less complaints more
patience. Remember it is a free project, I got no cookies for making the
installer except seeing a happy Linux people if it will work.

Thank you for releasing this update so soon. Sorry if I seemed ungratefull.

I really appreciate the work you have done for us.

About the smaller update, can we use the art from the windows version with it?

Okay, I\'ve gotten the torrent file up. If you don\'t know how to use BitTorrent, all you do is start the client, open the .torrent file and it\'ll download. Please let it keep seeding(uploading to others) when it\'s done downloading because I have very slow upload bandwidth, and I often get disconnected (crap ISP). Please have at least a 1:1 share ratio.
If you need a bittorrent client, I recommend Azureus. It requires Java, and is sometimes a little hard for beginners to understand, but it\'s got an easy configuration wizard that appears first time you run it.

The torrent file is available here.
 PLEASE keep seeding it when you\'re done, so others can get the file, and so that their download speed will be quicker. I can\'t seed this alone forever. Besides, the tracker that I used bans people without at least a 1:1 share ratio, so if you abort it after downloading, you won\'t be able to download it again if you need to.

Enjoy. :)

Okay good. Thanks for that. :)
 Right now I got 8 people downloading it, and it\'s going pretty slowly for each of them. Azureus is a fair program so each has about 5% now. Remember that once at least one full copy is out, and that person starts seeding, the speed will boost. I suggest waiting a little while before starting to download because that way you will most likely get better speeds. And to understand how BitTorrent works, look on

I\'ll be seeding with my 80kB/s upload rate for a good day once I finish the file.

Thanks for the torrent DaBlade.

Thanks a lot for that.
I\'ve monitored the uploads, and it seems that I only have to upload to two users, and they all spread the pieces amongst each other. I love BitTorrent  :D  :D
Everyone has around 8% now.

@The thanks: Don\'t mention it.  :))

There is a peer in the swarm with an unknown client, he/she\'s not getting anything at all. That means that the tracker banned him/her. If you aren\'t getting anything at all, and you\'re reading this, please get a verified client like Azureus.

May i please suggest, that whomever is the client with the 100% seed, would you please switch it to super seed mode? Just until there are at least 2 or 3 full seeds out there.  Then everyone can use normal seeding, and it should be fine.  Until more than just one person has an entire seed though, we still will have a very slow download.

HAL:  I am sorry, Dave.  I will not doubt you again.  Please continue.

I\'m the 100% seeder. I\'m giving the swarm 90% of my bandwidth (if I gave 100%, I wouldn\'t be able to IM, browse the web or anything). Super seeding mode wouldn\'t change anything at all. It would still go pretty much just as slowly.

no hon not the swarm, change modes.  doesnt have anything to do with bandwidth.  it is in preferences.

Tools->Options
in the tab that opens, look toward the bottom for
Queue-> Seeding
then you check the box that says
Use Super Seeding

You dont want to use that after a few more seeds are full, but at first is very essential.  It won\'t use up more bandwidth, will just block the rest of us and concentrate on one or two fast uploads.  Those people that end up getting the seeds, they need to keep it up for the rest of us, and we will get it from them faster.  After they are done getting theirs, you uncheck the super seeding box, and go back to seeding.
