hi. i\'m new here (well, i tried planeshift\'s first tech demo, but stopped after i found out i couldn\'t DO anything). i might try planeshift when it becomes beta. planeshift has apparently improved since i last played it, but it looks like u can still only walk around and talk. so y do u ppl play the game if that\'s all u can do? just wondering.

Well, we don\'t really play right now, sometimes we walk and talk for fun, but that\'s it, right now we are all anticipating the next release which we predict will be in about a month.

Planeshift? what is Planeshift? where am I?
Well, all of us are here, just patiently waiting for the game. The basic pass time around here is talk on the PS boards, visits Kada\'s taver, maybe a bit or IRC to mix it all in. Some, like myself, start guilds, to gather our forces, but we basicly wait for the next releace.

I haven\'t actually \'played\' PS for a while now. I\'ll get back to it when there is a significant update and it agrees with my PC a bit better.

For now, as Alucard said, I just hang around here,  drink in the tavern and give input where I think it may be useful

Well, seeing that everyone\'s in the mood to greet people, now is a good time to introduce myself.  .......Hi.

I\'m waiting for the Macintosh version of Planeshift.  It sounds better than many MMORPGs I\'ve seen.

well thnx for all the answers and welcomes. um, what\'s the irc channel and the link to Kada\'s tavern? also, how do u form guilds if there\'s no game yet to build it on? u don\'t know how each guildmember plays.

The tavern link is below my sig, drop in for a beer in the forums if you\'re passing (beer on the house for newcomers ).

People are just grouping together into guilds at the moment to form the foundations of what will form the game guilds. I suppose they stand more of a chance of being an established guild if they have started at this early stage, so will already have an organised framework when the game begins and will have a head start.

thnx again. errrrmmmm, can someone plz give me a rundown of the guilds? (this game looks interesting to me, plus the fact that it\'s free, so i\'m gonna try to get involved)

Some of the most active guilds on the forums at the moment include:

Hellsing  - evil (Alucard)
The Dark Empire  - evil (Aelya)
Ryuu Warriors  - neutral (Cyonamie)
Azure Order  - crazy (Kendrick - not currently recruiting, I don\'t think)
Mirth Guild  - happy (YanRK)  
The Order of the Blade  - chaotic/neutral? (Valkyr)
Los Otros  - neutral/good I think (elKano)
BISM  - not really a guild, but an organisation definately worth checking out (Kiern)

Welcome to the Community.. well it looks like Kada has got it covered pretty much as far as guilds. We\'re ready to hear your suggestions or stories.

One corection to the list Kada, i would like to point out that our guild is more on the \"lawfull evil\" side than purely evil. Or atleast that was the original idea, but ppl make whatever they feel of the guild, since i am not big on forcing ppl to do something.

Yeah, big welcome from me too. I\'m the local noble knight around these parts of PS. (and looking at the list of active guilds above probably the only one still alive! What happened to the Abyss Knights or The Knights of Fire?)
