Final thoughts

Wonderful start!  Planeshift has executed the personalization of a character like City of Heroes has done with the character creation process.  When I make a character, it really feels like it\'s my own - not a carbon copy ranger/warrior/mage/thief.  That being said, a self-typed bio would be a great addition.  An example would be not only choosing the influential experiences on your childhood, but after all CP is said and done, a final \'blog\' about your character from a personal point of view.  While you may not get the bonuses of playing war as a child, you can still create the image.

Beyond the CP system being buggy and not adding up correctly, I think the values are too high.  At current standings you really have to choose between your parents being renowned for their jobs *OR* having a character background.  Example would be having an Octarch parent - not only is anything higher than normal Octarch *not* possible, it leaves you very little room to still give your character any kind of real background - all for the benefit of what exactly?

We are all aware of the over-camped rats, and lack luster returns, but I see an enormous amount of potential and I\'m just offering what I can from a fellow MMO player POV :)

We know you guys are working diligently and keep it up, a long road of stardom lies ahead!

Hiya, and welcome to Planeshift and Yliakum :)

The character creation process is used only for determining your stats - none of the events, attributes of parents, or \"history\" really matter beyond that - and once your character is uploaded and running, you can modify your description entirely to create the very \"blog\" you mentioned.

Aside from that, character creation itself is unpolished at the moment and likely to change.

Smith: No, My Lord. I am attempting to conceal it.

Indeed, from what I understand we could probably expect the character creation process to be a lot different 5 or 10 years down the road.

....although I could be wrong. ;)

Anyway I welcome you to the game as well. :)
