how did you find PS?

i\'m curions--how did everyone out there find Planeshift?

I ask because it\'s not exactly out there for the finding, and to find it I did something that I think most people would not.

I decided that it was high time for there to be a free MMORPG.  I  knew that I was not nearly a good enough programmer to be the one to make it, so i decided to see if there already was one.  I did a sourceforge search for MMORPG, knowing that anything sourceforge turned up would be free.  And thus, I found Planeshift.  But I  doubt that that\'s the way that most of you found it.

I found PlaneShift through Gamespot\'s Beta Center.

FYI,  There already is a thread like this one that was started by the developers.  If your curious you could check it out.  I am too lazy to include the link you will have to look it up for your self.  Heh, in the time it took me to type this, I guess I could have....

Someone told me how crappy this game was and how his room mate used to go BM to the fenki. Was curious about the game so I tried it out.

there has already been a thread like this as derwoodly said. Bt as I said previously i found it in a magazine but I was also a member of some organisation called the \'Mmorpg raters\' an yeah that\'s really how I first found out about it. I was also a prowed member of the early \'Atomic Blue\' version of Planeshift. I\'ll later post a thread on the mag page when I finally get my scanner working.
