The game wouldn\'t work even if you got the updater to run. A fix *should* be coming later tonight. Read the instructions in A Guide To Running Planeshift on Mac OS X once that update is released.

Even with the game fully updated, you won\'t be able to get past the loading screen. dfryer said that he should have a working version of the game by tonight.

Tr1skal, you can go ahead and update (with my updater) if you want, but you will need to download some more stuff later (and possibly redownload some stuff too). The art, however, probably won\'t change, so you will likely save some time, if that\'s what you\'re asking.

That was yesterday but we haven\'t heard anything yet.  dfryer may have gotten busy and didn\'t get a chance to get to it.  He\'s volunteering his time so we can\'t beat on him too bad.

PLEASE READ. This is beyond even searching. You posted in this thread without reading a reply seven posts up that answers the question (and another one another two posts up). I don\'t mean to be hard on you or anything, but there are times when it\'s just a little bit ridiculous. Please, read, and when you can\'t find what you need by skimming the thread titles/posts, then search. THEN, if you still can\'t find what you need, then post.

As quint (mind if I abbreviate? :P ) said, the game doesn\'t work now. A key plugin is missing. Dfryer will post it as soon as it\'s ready. You can OPEN the client (you\'ll see the splash screen) through Terminal, but you won\'t be able to play.

Any idea why it won\'t start from the GUI?  Could someone post a log from Console.app or a backtrace of what happens when they try to launch from the Finder?

Thanks,
Daniel
