Bizzare Updater GUI bug
« on: June 01, 2005, 03:20:41 pm »
Whilst updating PS today, after the updater had updated from 1.0.2.5 to 1.0.2.6 (or something like that!) it started flashing and doing all sorts of weird things. It still seems to be actually working, it just looks really weird!

Anyone else have this problem? It may have something to do with my ZoneAlarm, as it appears to have ZA graphics in it, but it\'s still just plain creepy!

Just run the updater in -auto mode to not use the GUI.

To elaborate on what chris said, add -auto to the end of the shortcut pointing to the updater, or start the updater from command line with something like

updater -auto

Or use the shortcut on the startmenu

It\'s fine now, the update was successful, but whenever I run PS now, Instaead of seeing characters names above their heads, I just see a white box.
