Chairs - "Passable"?

But anyways, as we all know, one cannot sit on chairs.  I\'m not trying to complain something like \"Aww, come on!  We NEED sitting or we can\'t roleplay!\", because I know sitting is planned.  Don\'t believe me?

Why not make it so you can pass through chairs as if they were not actually there?  You would not suddenly rise up a few feet (which happens when you try to stand on a chair), you would just stand \"in\" the chair, simulating sitting.  I\'m sure this would be easy, just make chairs \"passable\" like other players and NPC\'s are.  It sure would look better than.... standing around the tavern, and would probably be much easier than any other option.  Of course, I\'m not trying to beg, \"DO IT NOW!! I CANT HANDLE IT!!!@#$@#\".  I just think it would be much easier to do and would save time for the more important stuff, such as crafting.  Heck, do it whenever you want.  Sure, in time I\'d like a sitting graphic, but this option would be fine for now! :)

Well you know we use a skeletal animation system now, right? So no new art needs to be created for every single race. All you do is make a new animation and it can be applied to them all, with some tweaking for the larger/smaller people of course.

With collision detection & chairs, there are two possible issues-

1) Disabling CD on chairs is GOOD, because it allows people to move more naturally and freely in the Tavern, cluster around tables, etc.

2) Disableing CD on chairs is BAD, because everyone\'s legs stick through the chairs and that looks funny.

Personally, I\'m all for disabling CD if someone gets around to it, but there\'s lots of other things to do :)
