« on: June 03, 2005, 02:31:17 am »
If i get lucky when my client doesnt unexpectedly quit i  type my password and username in.  When i press ok a box says \"not running the right version of planeshift\"  what does that mean and how do i fix it.

That message means that the version of the application on your computer doesn\'t match the version of the application that the server is running.  Kind of like how car manufacturers sometimes change parts in their cars so I can\'t just take parts of my old \'89 Cavalier and put them in a new one.

To fix it you run the updater.
Abandon hope all ye who enter here.

Note that the updater with the old version didn\'t work - Cha0ses updater does work but the correct file may or may not be in the right place.  So, for now, keep trying to update every couple days until it works :)
