Join the war dragons!!!

We are a new guild with few members but we will be strong.

Looking for good players who will be a benifit to the guild not a burden.

Does not matter how strong you are now because together we will be great.

If you are interested private message me.Don\'t forget to include your name so i can invite you.

The name comes from a tribe that existed before the migration underground.

As soon as I\'m able to create a male elf I will, because it\'s kind of strange that a kran will be a guild leader for a guild from the surface.

I am also currently working on making a site for my guild.

Our alignment is neutral, our goal is simply to become the best and strongest guild.

*edit to address the above edit* More thought and info is still needed. Untill then, welcome to The Sheeple Foundation. ;)

It seems our GMs dislike dragons, so maybe you should change the guild name.
Also, I\'ll have to direct you to this lovely thread, so that you have some guidelines on how to build your guild and guild thread on PS.

Disclaimer: This is my opinion and I can be reasoned with. I'm probably right, though.

you really could do some more work on the guild,
its rules, basis of operation, allignement
what are your aims, do oyu have a website? what is your guild emblem?

most importantly,

do oyu have a guild roleplay history, specifying how you got the name.

Why not create a new creature to base your guild off?  I\'m working on something similar in my RP stories.  It\'s quite fun.

And, I\'d like to take this opportunity to announce my new guild, \"Orc and Ent hunters\".

We only accept elves and dwarves. Any wizards also may be considered, but only if they can use untainted Saidin. To apply, you have to have been bitten by a vampire. To advance in the ranks you must successfully train one padawan learner to Knight status.

:(

I know I\'m being a bit of an arrogant, rude bandwagon-jumper-onner here but seriously dragonslayer1313, could you perhaps have noticed the less than warm reception to the other threads visible in this forum with the word \"dragon\" in them. A clue perhaps?

There is little wrong with creating a guild on your first day in Planeshift, just to learn the ropes. There is also nothing wrong with posting to advertise a guild. However, the community is rather unreceptive to people who create guilds within minutes of joining, and advertise the guild before they even know how to play. That kind of thing looks bad.

Just so you see where I am coming from, know I didn\'t post about FL here for three months after creating it. Up until that point I was a n00b leading n00bs. Only once I got serious, and created a bit of roleplay to add into the gameplay did FL belong in this forum. And we still have a ways to go.

Also see this thread for an example of what NOT to do. Your case isn\'t quite that bad, but you need to be careful... it could end up slipping that way.

It\'s good that you are working on a site. Try to read through what people have said on this thread, and make sure you\'ve put in all the necessary information before publishing your site to avoid getting more flames. ;)

Mmmm can\'t say I\'m to fond of this Guild because of the lack of well almost everything a Guild should have and the name........... Now I\'m a member of The Dragon Council, but in The Dragon Council the use of Dragon is because of the mythological background of Dragons. (Our goals are equeal to allot of theirs). But in the War Dragons, why use the word \"Dragon\". Don\'t see the point in it......

You don\'t see the point? Let me see ...

 * Annah is thinking *

Yeah, I don\'t see the point of using the name \"dragon\" for your guild as well. Maybe you\'ll someday understand that the PS mythology is different than the \"real life\" one, and they\'re two separated things, so stop trying to look \"cool\" in front of him.

Also, you don\'t need to be fond of any guild, it\'s ok, just be you.

And for god\'s sake, it\'s just a name people, and the first guild that carried it was formed way long before you even heard of PS.

 * EDIT *

Oh yeah, forgot to say. I think we\'re in the middle of a \"dragon\" epidemy. We need someone to get us rid of these pests. ;)

True, but our Guild was here before the flood of Dragon Guilds.

That doesn\'t change the fact that your guild references a mythological creature that doesn\'t exist in Planeshift physically or in legend (in other words, your guild is out of character). So basically, if we\'re going to keep dragons out of PS (and we really should, since they\'re sort of cliche), then anything with the word \"dragon\" in it, needs to be censored. I think the censor phrase should be \"pink fluffy bunny.\" Example:
Code: [Select]
\"We are the dragon council.\"
*CENSOR*
We are the pink fluffy bunny council.\"

What do you think? ;)

Alright so were going to have this argument, well then check this tread will you? I think that will speed things up a little:
http://www.planeshift3d.com/wbboard/thread.php?threadid=16211&boardid=18&styleid=3&sid=2a63bc022cba2b3330c92b7009b2b036

But of course this is an agrument that will go on and on and on and on etc. etc........

PS. I think the \"war pink fluffy bunnies\" has a nicer ring to it.
