Skills not implemented
« on: June 07, 2005, 03:11:08 am »
Why are you available to train skills you can\'t even use yet??
Sux to find out they don\'t work AFTER you\'ve trained away 1-2k Trinas. If they ain\'t implemented yet you shouldn\'t be able to train them either, IMO. Rather re-place them with something that works!

I also see alot of new NPC\'s in the city! Hope they\'ll start giving us quests and new trains soon! :)

the new \'Citizens\' appearing, are the weary locals that have decided it is safe to venture from their homes amongst all the visitors, as far as i know they won\'t have quests or training, the people with such talents will be added later, as well as free movement in the NPC\'s :P now that\'s what im looking forward to

Agreed, along with the locations many of the guards mention when you ask about them.

Hmm...what skill were you training on? Because you would have had to practice wouldn\'t you?  The only skills that I know of that don\'t require practice are ones that already work so I don\'t think you could have spent 1-2k trias. Also, if it didn\'t exist then you couldn\'t practice. However, I agree, they shouldn\'t train skills that don\'t exist.

He\'s probably talking about stuff like body development, herbalism, and climbing.  They don\'t work yet, but you can already buy points from trainers.  (In the case of herbalism, I started with 3 points...)  I do agree though, they should be hidden from everyone but the GM\'s until they function.  There\'s no way of knowing if they work or not until you\'ve already bought them.  Not the biggest of deals, but it is a bit annoying.

I was talking about the Shields training!
I bought a shield, and did some training! That cost alot of money :/
And when I found some monsters to practice on nothing happened. I later asked people how to train my shield knowlage, but apperantly there was no way :(

I will be patient though, I\'m having alot of fun in the realm & are mainly exploring and training to see how the game works.

It seems like I can\'t upgrade my sword or axe skill any further with my Stonebreaker, what must i do ? I only do about 20 dmg and have seen ppl do 50 dmg :(

Shields training couldn\'t have costed you more than a few hundred trias. No thousands you were talking about ... nonetheless it is a bit frustrating training in a skill that doesn\'t work yet. But it doesn\'t matter anyway .. soon everything will be wiped so either you play and experiment now. If you screw up it \'ll be undone in the future and you know what not to do with your fresh start.
Or you just don\'t play until everything is wiped and you are nearly certain you will keep your hard earned trias and skills.

I trained body development aswell as other things that didn\'t work.
I realy hope they will implement everything before they reset :o

I just want the wipe to come SOON!  :(  Not \'soon\' like they\'ve been saying for the past... who knows how long?  :P

Well, I\'ll just have to wait patiently like everyone else.

as is commonly stated, soon in planeshift is between a week from now and forever... so nobody really knows, but i too hope it comes soon using the practical form of the word... as in way earlier than forever :D

I am hopeing that they will not wipe untill all the races are implemented, along withthe skills, so that whe nI create a new character, they will not be limited....
